WHAT A BEAUTIFUL BUSY DAY at Chesaning Comfort Care! ✨
Our hearts are full after a wonderful day loving on our residents!
We were honored to introduce Pastor Tessmer, who blessed us with beautiful piano music and a heartfelt, short sermon. His message was warmly received, and you could truly feel the peace and fulfillment throughout the room. 🎹🙏
From 9 AM to 5 PM, Rochelle from provided nail care services for our residents who signed up. There’s something so special about fresh nails and a little extra pampering — it brings smiles every time! 💅💖
We also welcomed Jeff the Barber, from from Saint Charles, who generously donated his time to provide haircuts, shaves, and trims. Over 10 residents enjoyed his services, and the reception was wonderful! It’s amazing what a fresh cut can do for confidence and joy. 💈✂️
And of course, we wrapped up the day with one of our favorites — Monday Bingo! Lots of laughs, lots of smiles, and plenty of happy winners. 🎉🎲
Days like today remind us why we do what we do. Creating moments of joy, dignity, connection, and care for our residents is truly a privilege.

MONDAY~
💅Mani / Pedi Monday (9–4)
Rochelle will be pampering our residents all day!
💈 In the afternoon, we welcome Jeff the Barber, generously donating free haircuts & shaves. Jeff has offered his services the first Monday of every month, and we truly appreciate his kindness.
🎹 We’re also blessed to have Pastor Tessmer ✝️ joining us to play piano and lead a small service.
Pastor Tessmer has also offered to visit the first Monday of each month, bringing music and encouragement to our residents.
🎲 And of course… Monday Afternoon Bingo!

TUESDAY~
💇‍♀️ Tuesday – Hair Care with Michelle
Beginning at 8:00AM and continuing until finished.
📽🎞 Tuesday Matinee with popcorn in Our Cinema Rm.

THURSDAY~
🙏Chaplain Wayne 10:00AM from AdvisaCare Hospice will be visiting.
💪 10:30 AM – Workout with Abigail, our physical therapist.
🍪 Afternoon – Fun Facts & Treats!

🎶 Kathy from Trinity Church will bless us with piano hymns, followed by fun afternoon activities.

We are excited to welcome a LIVE performance by The Marching Dancing Grannies! This lively, joyful show is always a favorite and brings so many smiles.

Today, we want to take a moment to recognize NOLAN, who primarily works in our Memory Care neighborhood.
Nolan truly goes above and beyond every single day. From keeping his areas clean and well-organized to creating a calm, supportive environment, his dedication does not go unnoticed.
Our residents genuinely enjoy him and respond so positively to his patience, understanding, and kind approach.
He is always willing to help fellow caregivers, shows up with a dependable work ethic, and most importantly — he truly cares about the residents he serves.
His compassion, consistency, and teamwork make a meaningful difference in the lives of those around him.

🎂🍨🎶 February Birthday Mixer at Chesaning Comfort Care 🎶🍨🎂
We wrapped up the month with our February Birthday Mixer, and it was a wonderful afternoon of sweet treats and lively entertainment.
Thank you to Heart to Heart Hospice for stopping in and providing ice cream and desserts for our residents to enjoy during the celebration.
We were also happy to welcome back Richard and his wife, featuring Richard’s one-man social-distance band. The residents received the entertainment so well — there was singing along, toe tapping, big smiles, and even a few who didn’t want the music to end! 🎵 He did a fantastic job, and we always enjoy having him with us❣️
It was a joyful way to celebrate our February birthdays and spend time together as a community. 💛

🌟 New Program Launch: Meet Your Community 🤝
We were excited to launch the first session of our new
“Meet Your Community” program yesterday afternoon!
Our residents enjoyed an interactive visit and conversation with a representative from the Chesaning Police Department, where questions were asked, stories were shared, and connections were made.
This program was created to:
• Build familiarity and trust
• Encourage open conversation
• Strengthen community connections
• Bring meaningful engagement right to our residents

The visit was warm, respectful, and very well received — a wonderful start to a program we’re excited to continue growing.
We’re looking forward to welcoming more community partners in the months ahead and continuing to create opportunities that enrich daily life for our residents 💙

Moving, Smiling & Feeling Strong!💪
Yesterday’s AM workout with Abigail from AdvisaCare Hospice was full of energy, motivation, and great participation!
These guided exercise sessions are so important for our residents because they help: ✔️ Improve strength and balance
✔️ Support mobility and flexibility
✔️ Boost mood and confidence
✔️ Encourage social connection and routine
Best of all, the exercises are adapted to meet each resident where they are, making them safe, engaging, and empowering for everyone involved.
We are so thankful for partnerships like this that support both the physical and emotional well-being of those we care for 💚

💗🐾 National Love Your Pet Day — A Tail-Wagging Success! 🐾💗

On Friday, in honor of National Love Your Pet Day, we were thrilled to Welcome special guest speakers from to Chesaning Comfort Care!
They brought along sweet doodle puppies and dogs for a truly heart-warming visit that filled our community with smiles, laughter, and gentle tail wags. 🐶✨
Lisa led an engaging and interactive discussion on the origins of National Love Your Pet Day, followed by an informative and enjoyable presentation on doodles — their lineage, care, and why they make such wonderful companions.
Residents loved learning while having the opportunity to safely interact with the puppied & dogs.
Norm played an important role in ensuring each resident had a chance to visit and pet the dogs, and we were grateful to see our Operations Manager Roman step in to help as well. 💛
Moments like these remind us that dogs are more than just adorable — they offer emotional support, comfort, companionship, and connection. The presence of animals can be incredibly therapeutic, lifting spirits and creating meaningful shared experiences for our residents.
Thank you to everyone who helped make National Love Your Pet Day such a joyful and memorable experience. Our hearts were full. 🐾💕

🌈 Bridging Generations in the Most Beautiful Way 🎨💞
Our program recently hosted a Paint & Pass Class🖼🖌 with Girl Scouts Troop 30135, and it was a wonderful success from start to finish!
There were loads of smiles, creativity flowing freely, and you could truly see everyone’s imagination at work. Add in some yummy snacks ( Thank You to Chef Leigh & kichen staff), and it made for a joyful, relaxed after-dinner activity for all involved.
The Girl Scouts also brought homemade Valentine’s cards📝 for our residents — a thoughtful gesture that meant so much💞
These young ladies, Scouts Mya, Abigail, & Noelle along with Troop Leaders, Jessica and Melissa jumped right in, chatting with residents, helping them paint, encouraging creativity, and even assisting with cleanup. Their kindness and enthusiasm were heartwarming to witness.💛
A very special THANK YOU to Kelly from for generously donating the paint boards and for lending a helping hand wherever needed. Your continued support helps make moments like these possible.
Seeing genuine connections formed between generations reminds us just how powerful community, creativity, and compassion can be. 💛🌏

The New Standard of Senior Living

Chesaning Comfort Care is located in the southwest corner of Saginaw County and is one of the counties BEST kept secrets. We are located in the quaint, historic village of Chesaning, and we are providing the New Standard of Living for our senior population. We are designed to provide living and care for either you or your loved one as the needs increase for more daily activities and care. We are staffed 24 hours a day to meet your needs. We have rooms that are very spacious and provide and promote ideal living that helps each individual remain as independent as possible while still providing for their needs.

Some of the amenities that are provided daily are: med passing, meals, snacks, exercise, crafts, outdoor activities, gardening, movie theater, hair salon, laughter and lots of love. We do all your housework and laundry, so that you can enjoy your time as you age gracefully in place. We have an amazing spa room that helps with your aches and pains, and lets you relax in the comfort of privacy and assistance.

We love to have activities that involve the community and have people come in and share their talents and gifts with others. We have music, family get togethers, birthday celebrations, along with recognizing our veterans who have served our country.
