Hello everyone,

Blue Cross recently announced that their Essential PPO and Prime Value HMO Medicare Advantage plans will be discontinued from Lansing northward in MI for 2026. These were the two most popular plans in 2025, so many of you will need to choose a new plan during the current enrollment period (now through Dec. 7) to avoid gaps in coverage. Other plans are also being discontinued, including all University of Michigan plans and Humana’s Full Access Plan for Shiawassee County, so it’s important to review your options soon.

If you or someone you know is affected, local Medicare agent Kevin Gebhard is available to review options and help ensure a smooth transition. He’s independent and can compare plans from multiple carriers, including the new Blue Cross offerings and others available for 2026.
