John Wilson Kaser, RPh, passed away peacefully at his residence in Indian River, MI on February 18, 2026. He graduated from Chesaning High School in 1966 and went on to earn his pharmacy degree from Ferris State College. Following graduation, he worked alongside his father at Kaser Rexall Drug before moving to Marquette, Michigan, where he continued his career as a pharmacist. Later, John purchased City Drug Store in Manistee, where he became a well-known and trusted member of the community. He owned and operated the pharmacy for nearly three decades, selling the business in 2007 but continuing to work as a relief pharmacist until retiring in 2016. John spent much of his life and retirement fishing, enjoying Burt Lake and his 1964 Boston Whaler. Cremation has taken place with burial in Wildwood Cemetery later in Chesaning. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Wayne J. Suppes of Chesaning, age 77, passed away Friday, March 27, 2026. He was employed as a salesman for several trucking companies, retiring from Alvan Motor Freight in 2008. He then became a school bus driver for Chesaning Union Schools and enjoyed driving the sports teams to their games. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, was the school board president of Chesaning Union Schools for many years, served on the showboat committee and was an endman of the show. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Chesaning.
