True story: Everything I now rely on to heal and create joy seemed ridiculous to me at first. Meditation? I rolled my eyes. Energy work? Please. Gratitude lists? I was more likely to make a list of things I was mad about. Every time someone suggested a new “woo-woo” practice, I’d try it just to prove it wouldn’t work. And don't even mention tapping or crystals!

And yet… somewhere between the sighs, side-eye, and occasional ugly cry, something started to shift. The practices that once felt stupid slowly began to feel like lifelines. The weird thing became the thing that steadied me. So now when something sounds odd but harmless, I give it five minutes. Because five minutes is a small price to pay for an exhale that reaches the soul.
