Today, our selected participants started their first of eight week course with Culinary Connections. This week, they started with basic items that included homemade lemonade, trail mix and then started the beginning prep of coconut curry soup in a jar! This opportunity empowers our individuals who have a great desire to cook learn more simple meal ideas, and increases their independence to prepare them for a life own their own in the future. A special thank you to our instructor Ms. Savanna, and Mrs. Webster, one of our participants mother for the awesome referral. 💚🧡

M-F 8:30a-4:30p or a part time Direct Support Professional 3 days a week from 9a-3p. Weekends and holidays off. Pay ranges from $16-$18. Must be at least 21 years of age, posses a high school diploma or GED, must have a decent driving record, must pass a background check with no barrier crimes and must have at least 1 year of experience in the ID/DD field. Community Thrives LLC is about community engagement. We decided to give back to our community by purchasing highly needed clothing items such as socks, gloves, undershirts, etc and the individuals pick a shelter of their choice to deliver it to later this week. Looks like they're having fun! You guys are great! 💚🧡

Life Skills: Basic cooking activity...breakfast items!

The individuals went to the grocery store this week and purchased created menu items of their choice they would like to make today! They all did great following instructions, practicing infection control by washing their hands and using gloves and just simply....enaging 💚🧡

This home is a safe, welcoming, and person-centered supportive living residence designed to meet the needs of individuals receiving DBHDS services with a Family & Individual Supports (FIS) or Community Living (CL) waiver. The environment promotes independence, dignity, and community inclusion while providing the appropriate level of supervision and support based on each individual’s assessed needs.

The residence offers private bedrooms, accessible common areas, and a comfortable home-like setting that supports daily living skills, social engagement, and personal choice. Individuals are supported with activities of daily living, medication management, health and safety awareness, and skill-building to enhance independence and quality of life.
