As a mom who’s lived this journey, I know how quickly the little things like gas, meals, and daily expenses can become overwhelming.

That’s why we created our Fuel for the Journey program.
This program is here to support families currently in treatment with
Gas and Grocery assistance because getting to appointments and caring for your child shouldn’t come with added stress.

Families that need it now, please reach out. Don’t wait until it becomes too heavy, we’re here to help. And if you know a family walking this journey, please share this with them. Because no family should fight alone.

International Childhood Cancer Day

Today we wear gold for the warriors.
For the families.
For the ones still fighting.
For the ones we carry in our hearts. 💛

Childhood cancer is not rare. It affects thousands of families every single year and the journey doesn’t end at diagnosis. It impacts siblings, parents, finances, mental health, and entire communities.

This day is about:

Raising awareness
Funding research
Supporting families in treatment
Honoring survivors
Remembering angels

No parent should have to hear the words, “Your child has cancer.” No family should have to walk that road alone.

Just a little update on King David. He is doing amazing and he’s doing well in school, thriving in every way, and currently taking no medications.

We are beyond grateful. Thank you to for awarding a $10,000 grant to support our Fuel for the Journey program.

This funding helps provide gas and meal support to families fighting childhood cancer meeting them where they are, when they need it most.

The Chartway Promise Foundation surprised 5-year-old Charlotte — who is undergoing treatment for leukemia — with news that her dream trip to Walt Disney World will come true next spring.

This announcement followed the 5K at the 12th annual Chartway Norfolk Harbor Half Marathon Weekend, drawing cheers from runners, spectators and volunteers packed into the waterfront park.

On Sunday, the foundation revealed a second dream trip for 7-year-old Summer, who is battling severe aplastic anemia. She learned she will visit Disney World in January, surrounded by racers and families who stayed to witness the surprise.
