April is Women’s Eye Health & Safety Month 👁️🌸

This month we’re talking about the things women actually ask about—comfort, clarity, and confidence—at every stage of life.

Here’s what we’ll be covering in April:
✨ Presbyopia (the “arms getting shorter” phase): what’s happening, what your options are, and how to choose the right solution
✨ Dry eye in women: why it’s so common (hormones, screens, allergies) and what truly helps
✨ Makeup + lash line health: how to prevent irritation, clogged glands, and chronic redness
✨ Aesthetics around the eyes: safe, natural ways to improve skin texture, tone, and under-eye puffiness/dark circles
✨ UV + lifestyle protection: simple habits that protect the eyes and the delicate eyelid skin year-round

Have a topic you want us to cover—presbyopia options, contact lenses, skincare around the eyes, or dry eye relief? Drop it below 💗

Tuesday Tip ❄️👁️
It's definitely that time of year and our eyes are getting the brunt of it! Throw your artificial tears in the refrigerator...

Cold drops can:
✅ feel instantly soothing
✅ help calm redness/irritation
✅ reduce that “I need to rub my eyes” feeling

How to use it:
👉Use preservative-free tears if you’re using them often
👉1 drop in each eye as needed (especially after being outdoors)
👉Keep a second set in your bag if you’re out and about

Tip: Chill them—don’t freeze them. Flare up and drops aren't helping or do you need specific recommendations? We are here to help you!

Medications can have surprising effects on your eyes—sometimes subtle, sometimes important. 👁️💊

This carousel highlights a few common medication categories and what to watch for. Don’t stop any medication on your own—if you notice new dryness, irritation, blur, or other changes after starting something new, let your eye doctor (and prescribing doctor) know.

One pair of glasses isn’t always enough 👓
Think of eyewear like shoes—most people do better with the right pair for the right situation.

Why multiple pairs can be a game changer:
✅ Everyday pair for daily life
✅ Computer/office pair to reduce strain (especially long screen days)
✅ Prescription sunglasses for driving + outdoors + recreational activities (UV + glare control)
✅ Backup pair so you’re never stuck if something breaks

Your eyes will thank you. Our doctors can recommend what fits your lifestyle and our talented opticians can guide you with the best fit.

Happy First Day of Spring! 🌷☀️

Longer days, brighter sunshine, and (for many of us) the start of allergy season too. A few spring eye reminders:
😎 Wear sunglasses with 100% UV protection
🌿 If your eyes get itchy, try a cold compress and avoid rubbing
💧 Keep lubricating drops handy for windy/pollen-heavy days

Wishing you a fresh, sunny start to the season! 🌸👁️

Save Your Vision Month — a quick note from your future eyes 👁️
Most people think vision loss happens “suddenly.” A lot of the time, it doesn’t. It’s subtle—until it’s not.

If you want to do a few simple things that genuinely stack the odds in your favor, start here:
⭐Wear UV protection like it’s part of your outfit
⭐Take screen breaks and practice full blinks
⭐Pay attention to new/sudden changes (and get them checked)
⭐Keep up with routine eye exams, even when you “see fine”

Your future self will be grateful you took care of what you can—today. 💛
Concerns? Call us and schedule an appointment. Our team is here for you.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! 🍀💚

Wishing you a day filled with good luck, good vibes, and a little extra sparkle. If you’re celebrating today, don’t forget your eye-friendly basics: UV-protective sunglasses for outdoor fun and a quick screen break if you’re scrolling through all the green. 😎👁️

Have a safe, fun day! 🍀

Allergies don’t just make your nose run—they can wreck your eyes too. 👁️🌿
If your eyes are itchy, red, watery, or puffy, it’s often allergy-related… and the #1 mistake we see is rubbing (it usually makes it worse).

Try this instead:
✅ Cold compress for quick relief
✅ Chilled artificial tears (preservative free!)
✅ Rinse lids/lashes after outdoor time
✅ Use allergy drops consistently (not just once in a while)

And here’s the tricky part: allergies and dry eye often overlap, so watery eyes don’t always mean you’re “making too many tears.”

If symptoms are lingering or your vision is fluctuating, we can help sort out what’s driving it and build the right plan. The EVEA team is ready to help you this season and all year long!

Tuesday Tip: Dark circles + puffy under-eyes 👀
Most under-eye “circles” and puffiness come from a mix of thin skin, genetics, allergies/sinus congestion, sleep quality, salt/alcohol, and fluid retention—so the best results come from a few small habits:

✅ Cold compress (60–90 seconds) in the morning (spoon/gel mask works great)
✅ Sleep with your head slightly elevated to reduce fluid pooling
✅ Hydrate + ease up on salty dinners (especially the night before)
✅ If allergies are a factor: treat the allergies + don’t rub your eyes
✅ Use a caffeine + peptide under-eye product in the morning
✅ Use a clinical grade eye product at night + daily SPF

Real talk: If circles are mostly from genetics or natural under-eye hollowness, skincare helps—but you may need in-office options for a bigger change.
