Did you know that children should have their first exam at an optometrist between the ages of 6-12 months? This is important to check vision development that influences motor development for a child. Did you know Dr. Teten sees children as young as 6 months? They are often referrals from physical therapy, pediatricians, or parents with high prescriptions. Vision is so important! It goes beyond 20/20 eyesight. Good vision can impact your child’s development as they grow and learn. A child might not tell you things are blurry, double, or hard to see. It might show up in other ways, clumsiness, head tilts, squinting or blinking hard or difficulty in learning and reading.
