P: ¿Qué es un análisis de semen y por qué es importante?
R: Es un examen que evalúa la cantidad, calidad y capacidad de movimiento del es***ma. Es clave para identificar factores masculinos que pueden afectar la fertilidad. 

P: ¿Qué parámetros se miden?
R: Se analizan varios, entre ellos: volumen del eyaculado; concentración o recuento de es***matozoides por mililitro; motilidad (qué tan bien nadan); morfología (forma de los es***matozoides); vitalidad (porcentaje de es***matozoides vivos); pH; tiempo de licuefacción. 

P: ¿Qué valores se consideran “normales”?
R: Según la Organización Mundial de la Salud (WHO), referencias comunes incluyen al menos 1.5 mL de volumen del eyaculado; concentración igual o superior a 15 millones de es***matozoides por mililitro; más del 40 % de es***matozoides móviles; al menos 4 % de es***matozoides con morfología normal. 

P: Si los resultados no son normales, ¿significa que no puedo tener hijos?
R: No necesariamente. Un resultado fuera de los rangos estándar solamente señala que hay un factor masculino que podría estar influyendo. Muchos casos tienen tratamiento o mejoras por medio de estilo de vida, terapias médicas o técnicas de reproducción asistida como IVF. 

P: ¿Cómo prepararse para un análisis de semen para obtener resultados precisos?
R: Es recomendable abstenerse de eyacular de 2 a 5 días antes del análisis; evitar calor excesivo como saunas, baños muy calientes; limitar alcohol, tabaco u otros hábitos que puedan afectar; informar sobre medicamentos actuales. 

P: ¿Qué sigue después del análisis?
R: Dependiendo de los resultados, tu médico en Procreate Fertility Center te explicará qué tratamientos están disponibles. Puede incluir repetir el test para confirmar los resultados, evaluar otros exámenes complementarios, mejorar hábitos de vida, o considerar opciones de ART como IVF si es apropiado.
