For our April , we’d like you to meet Dot!

She has only lived at Barclay House for 8 months, and she was chosen for her kindness and the way she stepped up to help run the community store when others were ill.

One thing she loves about living at Barclay House is all the new friends she has made, as well as the staff.

If she could give one piece of advice, it would be: if you are thinking about making a move, come on in—you don’t know what you are missing!

Fun fact: Dot loves wearing red and black, with red being her favorite color. She enjoys going out to eat, especially chicken parmesan. She also laughs when sharing that in her younger years, she was quite the “wild child.”

Dot has brought so much life to Barclay House, and we are so lucky to have her!

For our April , we would like to recognize Walter! He has been with Barclay House for about 5 months and has become a vital part of our community!

Walter is one of our Maintenance and Housekeeping team members here at Barclay House. He is an extremely hard worker and always goes above and beyond for our residents. Several residents have commented on how happy he always seems and how willing he is to help them whenever they need a little extra—whether it’s fixing TVs, phones, or taking out the trash. Walter has also taken on the role of MOD on Saturdays.

His favorite part about working at Barclay House is spending time with the residents and being part of a great community. He feels the environment here is welcoming and believes that if you follow the rules, you’ll thrive.
Fun Fact: Walter stays busy, but his favorite thing is spending time with his family. He has 6 sons and 2 grandchildren!
