If you’ve graduated, you’re in the field, and you know licensure is the goal but you’re still in that in-between stage this is for you.

At ACS, I (Wendy Goodman, LPC🙋🏾‍♀️) supervise clinicians who are serious about growth, ethical practice, and becoming confident, licensed professionals, not just collecting hours.

If you’re ready for supervision that actually supports you, guides you, and challenges you (in the best way!), let’s talk.

🧣🧤 Warmth for Our Community — Free While Supplies Last! 🧤🧣

As the temperatures drop, we’re doing our part to care for our community. 💛 At ACS we are giving away FREE gloves, hats, and scarves to anyone in need — because staying warm is part of staying well.

No strings attached, just care and compassion. 🌿 Supplies are limited, so stop by while they last and help us spread warmth, and support throughout our community.

💛 If you’re exhausted from pretending you’re okay — that counts. 💛

Showing up when you’re tired, overwhelmed, or hurting takes strength. Carrying things quietly doesn’t mean they aren’t heavy. Your exhaustion is valid, and your feelings matter — even if you haven’t said them out loud.

You don’t have to keep holding everything together on your own. There is space for honesty, rest, and support within a caring community. 🌿

🌿 What You Can Control vs. What You Can’t 🌿

So much of our stress comes from trying to manage things that are simply out of our hands. Learning the difference between what you can control and what you can’t can bring clarity, peace, and emotional balance. 💛

✨ Things you can’t control:
• Other people’s actions or opinions
• The past
• Unexpected changes
• How quickly others grow or heal

✨ Things you can control:
• How you respond
• Your boundaries
• Your habits and routines
• The energy you give to situations
• How you care for your mental health

Focusing on what’s within your control helps reduce anxiety and empowers you to move forward with intention. 🌱

🌿 Ways to Self-Regulate & Find Your Calm 🌿

When emotions feel overwhelming, self-regulation helps bring your mind and body back into balance. It’s about learning how to pause, respond gently, and care for yourself in the moment. 💛

✨ Try these simple self-regulation tools:
• Take slow, deep breaths (inhale for 4, exhale for 6)
• Ground yourself by noticing what you can see, hear, and feel
• Step away from triggers when possible
• Stretch or move your body to release tension
• Use positive self-talk to calm your thoughts

Self-regulation is a skill — and like any skill, it gets stronger with practice. 🌱

📝 Mental Health Checklists: A Simple Way to Check In With Yourself 📝

Sometimes we don’t realize how we’re really feeling until we pause and reflect. Mental health checklists can help you identify patterns, emotions, and needs you may have been overlooking. 💭

✨ A few helpful check-ins include:
• How is my mood today?
• Am I feeling more stressed than usual?
• Have I been sleeping and eating well?
• Do I feel connected to others?
• What do I need more of right now — rest, support, or time for myself?

These small questions can lead to big insights and remind you to prioritize your well-being. 🌿

Save this post for later and try your own mental health check-in this week. Share it with someone who could use a gentle reminder to pause and reflect.

🧠 Understanding ADHD & OCD: Knowing the Difference Matters 🧠

ADHD and OCD are often misunderstood — and while they can sometimes look similar on the surface, they affect the mind in very different ways. 💭

✨ ADHD symptoms may include:
• Difficulty focusing or staying organized
• Impulsivity or acting without thinking
• Restlessness or constant movement
• Trouble with time management

✨ OCD symptoms may include:
• Intrusive or unwanted thoughts
• Repetitive behaviors or rituals
• Strong anxiety when routines aren’t followed
• A need for certainty or control

Understanding these differences helps reduce stigma and builds compassion — for ourselves and for others. 🌿

👉 Share this post to spread awareness, or tag someone who may benefit from learning the difference. Knowledge is a powerful step toward community support and healing.
