❓️Did you know that you can track active respiratory illness in Virginia?

⚕️ The Virginia Department of Health maintains a weekly dashboard of information to help quell the spread of flu, COVID, and RSV in the Commonwealth.

📈📉 Tracking the spread of seasonal illness allows medical providers the ability to more easily diagnose and prevent the spread of infection, especially during peak season - winter holidays.

💊 Prevention is the best medicine.

🚻 Wash your hands frequently (we can't stress that one enough!)
🍊 Eat a healthy diet of foods rich in Vitamin C.
💉 Stay current on vaccinations.
🤢 If you are sick, please avoid public spaces as much as possible.

Stomach flu?❌️ Food poisoning? ❌️ Norovirus. 🤢 You don't want it.

🦠 Norovirus is a common and highly contagious virus spread via an infected person, contaminated food or water, or by touching contaminated surfaces.

🤮 The illness often begins suddenly with severe stomach cramping, nausea, vomiting, and/or diarrhea.

😭 It's awful, and it's here.

⚠️ People infected with norovirus are contagious from the moment they begin feeling ill to at least 3 days after recovery.

🚰🛏😷 There are no specific medicines to treat norovirus. Recovery includes hydration, rest, and isolation from others.

👐 🧼 Washing your hands thoroughly with soap and water is the best way to protect yourself and others from norovirus.

Frequent hand washing removes germs that cause respiratory infections and stomach issues like norovirus.
