Cupping marks aren’t a “toxins leaving the body” report card. 👀

Different shades usually reflect things like suction strength, time under the cup, circulation response, tissue density, and individual skin sensitivity—not necessarily injury or “how bad” an area is.

Darker doesn’t mean worse. Lighter doesn’t mean nothing happened. It’s tissue response, not a diagnosis. ✨

Massage therapy isn’t just about fixing tight muscles—it’s just as powerful for your mind as it is for your body.

When your body is stuck in that constant fight-or-flight mode, everything feels a little heavier. Your thoughts race, your stress builds, and it’s hard to truly relax. Massage helps shift your nervous system out of that high-alert state and into a calmer, more regulated place.

As your body starts to release tension, your mind follows. You can think more clearly, breathe more deeply, and just feel…better. It’s not just physical relief—it’s a full reset that can boost your mood, reduce stress, and help you feel like yourself again.

It’s honestly devastating that I will never fully experience my own work the way my clients do. Like imagine having these hands… and not being able to book with them. Tragic.

Meanwhile my clients are out here living their best, loose, mobile, pain-free lives because of my extreme generosity and selflessness. You’re welcome. 😌

Massage therapy isn’t rocket science… I’m not back here doing calculus, I’m fixing the mess you’ve been ignoring 😌

You show up tight, stiff, stressed, and moving like a rusty door hinge.
I get in there, break things up, wake your nervous system up, and remind your body how it’s supposed to function.

Yeah. Imagine that.

You feel better.
You move better.
You sleep better.
You breathe better.

Not because it’s magical… but because your body actually works when you take care of it.

Crazy concept, I know.

PSA: Your girl has been BUSY 💆‍♀️🔥

I’m currently booked out several weeks in advance (which I’m so grateful for), so if you’ve been thinking about getting on my table… this is your sign to plan ahead 👀

Last-minute Maura is not a thing right now 😅
Pre-booking = the move ✔️

Your body will thank you later.

My work is about waking things up — your nervous system, your muscles, the areas that have been stuck on autopilot for way too long. We’re mobilizing tissue, creating change, and building a body that actually moves better when you leave.

It’s intentional. It’s therapeutic.

It might be a little spicy 🌶️

But the goal isn’t to help you escape your body… it’s to help you feel at home in it again.

I know it’s not always easy to wait a couple weeks for an appointment…

But I don’t rush bodies, and I don’t do “quick fixes.” I do real work that your muscles will remember.

So hang tight—your spot on the table is coming, and when it does… you’ll understand why people keep coming back.

When new clients feel sore after their first session, it’s usually because their body just got a workout it’s not used to.

Deep tissue work isn’t just “relaxing”—it’s actively engaging muscles, breaking up adhesions, increasing circulation, and waking up areas that may have been tight or underused for a long time. So your body responds the same way it would after a tough gym session.

Here’s the simple way to explain it:

• Muscles are being challenged → just like lifting weights, deeper pressure creates tiny micro-stress in the tissue
• Adhesions are being worked out → areas that were stuck or restricted are finally moving again
• Circulation increases → bringing fresh blood flow to areas that haven’t had much attention
• Nervous system wakes up → your body goes “oh wow, we’re using this again??”

That soreness afterward is basically “massage-induced muscle soreness”—very similar to post-workout soreness (DOMS). It’s temporary and usually peaks within 24–72 hours.

A good, client-friendly way to say it could be:

“Think of your session like a workout for muscles you haven’t used in a while. We’re waking things up, getting tissue moving again, and your body’s adjusting to that change—so a little soreness is totally normal.”

My clients would absolutely book me 3–5 business days a week… if I didn’t have the audacity to be ✨part-time✨ 😌

Apparently I’m the only thing standing between them and a full-time “fix me” subscription package.

My part-time hours are intentional—they’re how I take care of myself, stay grounded, and make sure I can keep doing this work well for the long haul.

I always encourage my clients to build a well-rounded care team—working with a physical therapist and/or chiropractor alongside consistent monthly massage sessions. Each approach supports the body in a different way, and together they help you move better, heal more efficiently, and maintain lasting results.

End of the work week recap:
HR? Me.
Management? Me.
Cleaning service? Me.
Laundromat? Me.
Marketing? Also me.
Deep tissue executioner? Definitely me.

Honestly, employee of the month is getting a little repetitive at this point.

People think I’m just out here fixing bodies… meanwhile my clients are out here fixing my mood, my day, and occasionally my will to keep doing this job 😌😂

It’s a mutual relationship:
You come for the relief…
I come for the emotional support…
And then I aggressively dig into your soul like a feral crazy lady with a purpose 💀
