Last week at our AIM group, we celebrated the New Year with a variety of meaningful and creative activities. Participants created vision boards to reflect their goals and dreams for the year ahead, made resolution bracelets as a reminder of their intentions, and learned about different New Year traditions.

It was a great opportunity to encourage self-expression, goal-setting, and reflection while having fun together. We loved seeing everyone’s creativity and enthusiasm as they kicked off the year with positivity and purpose! 🌟

🌟 All Pointe’s of View: Advocate Spotlight — Malvika Iyer 🌟

For this week’s All Pointes of View, we’re highlighting Malvika Iyer — an internationally known disability rights activist and motivational speaker from India. After losing both her hands as a child due to an accident, Malvika went on to earn a doctorate in social work, centering her research on stigma faced by people with disabilities.

Today, she shares her voice on stages around the world, bringing attention to inclusion, dignity, accessibility, and equality for people of all abilities.

Her journey shows how resilience and advocacy — rooted in lived experience — can shape more inclusive communities everywhere. 💙

This week, we’re highlighting Chris Ulmer — a former special education teacher turned worldwide disability rights advocate. After seeing how often his students’ personalities and abilities were misunderstood or overlooked, Chris started "Special Books by Special Kids", giving individuals with disabilities a platform to share their own stories and perspectives. His work helps remind us that every voice matters and everyone deserves inclusion—not as a favor, but as a right. 💙
