A non-profit, therapeutic horseback riding program operating in Chester Springs, PA since 1997.

Hope Springs is a premier provider of professional horse assisted therapy that continually strives to reach and serve a larger number of disabled individuals while maintaining our community-based intimate environment. Our well-trained staff of instructors and volunteers are attuned to the unique needs of our riders, which include children and adults with a myriad of disabilities and youth-at-risk.

With heavy hearts, we are sharing the news that Hope Springs Equestrian Therapy will is closing its operations.

For nearly 30 years, it has been our greatest honor to serve the Chester County community. From the first time a rider found their confidence in the saddle to the lifelong bonds formed between our students and our horses, this journey has been a privilege.

While we have spent months exploring every possible avenue to sustain our program, we have reached a point where we can no longer support ongoing operations. Our final day of lessons will be April 15th.

Our priority now is our horses. These incredible animals have been the heart of everything we do. We are dedicated to ensuring every one of them transitions responsibly and compassionately into a safe, loving, and comfortable next chapter.

To our riders, families, and volunteers: You are family. The impact you’ve made—and the impact our horses have made on you—will stay with us always. Thank you for thirty years of hope. 🐴❤️

Happy retirement to our one and only "Little Mama," J.Lo! 🐴👑

After 23 incredible years, our "Little Queen" is officially hanging up her halter. From patiently teaching our smallest riders to being a steady rock for beginners, J.Lo has been a true trooper and a friend to everyone. While she’s still as spunky as ever, she has more than earned a life of leisure!

She’s heading to a wonderful new home to reunite with her "old boyfriend," Monte. She’ll have him all to herself—aside from a neighboring mini-donkey, but we know J.Lo can handle the competition! 🍎✨

We will miss her dearly and will keep you all updated on her new adventures. Happy trails, J.Lo! 💖

Sometimes progress looks big and exciting. Other times, it looks like simply showing up, taking a deep breath, and trying again.

At Hope Springs, we meet every rider exactly where they are. We celebrate effort, patience, and the small moments that build confidence over time. Whether it’s a first ride, a quiet connection with a horse, or getting through a tough day, every step forward matters here.

We are incredibly proud of our students for showing up and giving their best, and just as proud of our instructors and volunteers who make this environment so supportive and welcoming. This is a place where kids feel safe, encouraged, and successful just for being themselves. Because growth doesn’t always happen all at once, and some days, showing up truly is the biggest win.
