We love doggie visits and have found that Pet Therapy is an added bonus to our Engagement Program. These precious dogs have snuggled their way into our residents’ hearts and truly brighten their day! ☀️ Huge thanks to our friends at Pets on Wheels for scheduling weekly visits with us and for Laura and Lumi for stopping by to help brighten our day!

We have found that BINGO is an excellent way to keep our brains active. ☺️ You’d be surprised at all the health and social benefits that just a few games of Bingo can provide our residents!

We loved celebrating Valentine’s Day with each other. ❤️ From the moment I walked in, our sweet residents were ready to party. So much fun be-bopping to oldies love songs while reminising about our true love Valentines and giggling thru trivia …. then followed by pizza, goodies, and of course CHOCOLATE! 😋 Big thanks to Tamara, Meghan and Alexis for helping me make our party such a success!!

What is SYM SIM? Well it’s short for Sympathy Simulation which is an immersive sensory experience designed to enhance our understanding and compassion for elderly patients residents, and neighbors.

Our amazing staff at Arcadia of Chester were super prepared during the storm. To ensure our residents have the care they need, many members of our wonderful team stayed the night at the house ahead of their shifts and ahead of the storm to be on standby. Our staff are always on-site and awake 24 hours a day no matter what the weather report predicts. Snow day sleepovers are a fantastic opportunity to bond with each other and make memories together.

We love celebrating the Holidays together as one big family at Arcadia of Chester! Reminiscing precious memories, sharing favorite Holiday traditions, and decorating our home for the Season are just a few of our favorite things to do every year.

We got everything done just in time for our annual Christmas party where we sang our favorite Christmas Carols, played Holiday games, ate yummy Chic Fila and exchanged presents! 🎁

Age is just a number … however this number was a pretty big deal!!! 💜 Our darling Alice turned 100 years old today … so of course our staff, family and friends decided to throw her a fabulous party to celebrate her monumental 100th birthday on December 22, 2025!! 💛

Even US Representative Andy Harris and our MD Governor Wes Moore took time out of their busy schedules to acknowledge and celebrate Alice’s birthday, with signed certificates, plaques and a flag flown over the US Capitol. What an honor!!! 💜 More pictures to come, but couldn't let this day go by without wishing my sweet friend a very Happy Birthday!!

We care about our residents' spiritual needs … and that’s why we are so incredibly blessed to have Mike and Bonnie Francis come visit our residents on Sundays. ✨⛪️✨Everyone enjoys this communal time together singing hymns and listening to uplifting gospel messages. What a precious way to engage with scripture and pray together in such a comforting environment. ✨🙏🏻✨
