Today is National Alcohol Screening Day - a reminder that taking a quick, confidential screening can be a powerful first step toward understanding your relationship with alcohol. Screenings aren't about labels, they're about awareness. Whether you're curious, concerned or simply checking in with yourself, it's okay to take a moment and reflect. Early insight can lead to early support and that can make all the difference. If you or someone you know could benefit from support, don't hesitate to reach out. Help is here, and change is possible.

April is Alcohol Awareness Month—a time to bring attention to the impact alcohol use can have on individuals, families and communities.

At KeyStone Center, we recognize that alcohol use disorder doesn’t define a person—recovery is possible, and help is always within reach. By raising awareness, reducing stigma and encouraging open conversations, we can create a supportive environment where people feel empowered to seek help.

If you or someone you know is struggling, you are not alone. Resources, treatment and compassionate care are available. Every step toward recovery is a step toward a healthier, brighter future.

Key Recovery provides evidence-based, specialized addiction treatment to the le***an, gay, bisexual, transgender and q***r (LGBTQI+) community in a supportive environment. Clients will work with their therapist to address a variety of issues including gender identity and expression, the coming out process, trauma, anxiety, depression and sexual compulsivity.

All treatment components are LGBTQI+ affirmative and actively promote self-acceptance of an LGBTQI+ identity as a key part of recovery. Our treatment approach affirms LGBTQI+ individuals’ sexual orientation, gender identity, and choices, validates their values and beliefs
and acknowledges that sexual orientation develops at an early age.

We recognize that individuals in the LGBTQI+ community may not seek out treatment services for fear of rejection or prejudice. Every member of our staff strongly believes in the diversity of the individual and honors each client’s dignity and self worth. Staff is trained in working specifically with the LGBTQI+ community.

We are a proud member of NALGAP (National Association of Le***an, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Addiction Professionals and their Allies), dedicated to the prevention and treatment of alcoholism, substance abuse and other addictions in le***an, gay, bisexual, transgender and q***r communities.
