January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness, support survivors and learn how to recognize the signs of trafficking in our communities. Human trafficking can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender, or background. Awareness and education are powerful tools in prevention.

Know the signs:
•Limited freedom of movement or control by another person
•Lack of personal identification documents
•Signs of fear, anxiety or abuse
•Working or living conditions that seem unsafe or exploitative

If you or someone you know needs help, confidential support is available 24/7 through the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-373-7888 or by texting HELP to 233733. Together, we can help protect, support and advocate for those impacted.

Fire safety starts with awareness and preparation. A few simple steps can help keep everyone safe:
•Test smoke alarms monthly and replace batteries as needed
•Keep flammable items away from heat sources
•Never leave cooking unattended
•Have a clear escape plan and practice it regularly
•Know where fire extinguishers are located and how to use them

Taking small precautions today can make a big difference in preventing emergencies. Stay safe and be prepared.

Jaime Lane is January’s Employee of the Month at KeyStone Center! Jaime has been a part of the Clinical Department since May of 2025 as an Aftercare Coordinator. Jaime has brought along a wealth of expertise and knowledge while settling into her role here and has adapted well with the norms of the facility’s Aftercare processes. Jaime displays a genuine passion and compassion for assisting our population with discharge planning. Jaime excels effectively while navigating through the pressure that comes along with the ambivalence of the patient and their discharge plans. Jaime often receives intra-departmental compliments for being very detailed and pleasure to work with. We are pleased to have Jaime as part of the Clinical Team, and excited to see her continue to thrive!

A little holiday warmth at Keystone Center.

Today, our patients enjoyed hot cocoa and cookies as a simple holiday treat. Small moments of comfort and care can go a long way, especially during the season. We’re grateful for the opportunity to support individuals on their recovery journey and to create moments of warmth, connection and encouragement along the way.
