December’s Employee of the Month is Nelly Oglesby. Nelly has been a part of the Clinical Department as a Family Therapist since January 2025. Nelly is a seasoned clinician and has adapted well to the duties of her discipline here at the KeyStone Center. We receive continuous positive feedback from patients and their family members about the solid work that Nelly is doing, expressing how they feel very optimistic about their chances or repairing strained relationships through the tools that have been presented during their sessions. Nelly has also been facilitating weekly family support meetings, presenting at our addiction’s collaboration sessions and facilitating a daily arts and crafts group that the patient really enjoys. Nelly has recently been involved in our AMA blocking efforts, by meeting with patients who decide to sign AMA, and making touchpoints with the emergency contact in efforts to ground patients into remaining and completing their stay. We are happy and grateful to have Nelly as a part of our team!

Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours! 🍂🦃

Wishing you a day filled with warmth, gratitude and all the things that make this season special.

At The Keystone Center, we know that small, intentional practices can create meaningful change. Whether you're navigating challenges or simply seeking balance this season, mindful breathing is a powerful tool to center your mind and body. This technique helps calm the nervous system, reduce stress and bring you back to the present moment.

✔️ Inhale slowly through your nose for four seconds.
✔️ Hold for four seconds.
✔️ Exhale gently for six seconds.
✔️ Repeat five to seven times.

Take a moment today to slow down, breathe deeply and be kind to yourself.

Our CEO, Elizabeth Conlin, recently hosted a powerful town hall where staff came together to connect, collaborate and grow.

The discussion focused on upcoming events, important facility updates and a deeper look at collaboration and mutuality, which are core principles of trauma-informed care. The team also explored ways to strengthen trauma-informed practices across all levels of care to ensure every interaction supports healing and empowerment.

Additionally, the group discussed GET SMART, an important initiative focused on preventing sexual behaviors in treatment and promoting safety and accountability within our programs.

By fostering supportive relationships and encouraging shared decision-making, we continue to create a healing environment where individuals feel seen, heard and empowered on their journey to wellness.

Thank you to everyone who participated and continues to champion compassionate, client-centered care.
