Tattoo removal often takes multiple sessions to achieve complete removal. The number of sessions depends on a number of factors including the type of ink used, the depth of ink in the skin, and the health of your body to remove the ink after each session. The laser doesn't actually remove the ink, it breaks it down into smaller particles that the body can then digest through its natural elimination process. Similar to how a tattoo fades over time, we just speed that process up significantly by breaking down the ink faster. But you're always welcome to wait for the tattoo to fade naturally which for a normal tattoo would take about 400 years.
