Why âElephant Baby?!â
The name Elephant Baby was born from the beautiful symbolism found in elephant herds. Elephants are known for their deep bonds, wisdom, and collective care. When a mother elephant gives birth, the entire herd circles around herâprotecting, supporting, and celebrating new life.
This image perfectly captures what we believe postpartum care should look like: a circle of strength, compassion, and unwavering support.
Just as elephant calves are nurtured by the whole herd, we believe every mother deserves a village that surrounds her with love and care. Elephant Baby is a reminder that none of us are meant to do this alone.
Elephant mothers carry their babies for nearly two yearsâthe longest gestation of any land animal. This patience and endurance reflect the depth of care and time mothers need after birth.
In elephant herds, âauntiesâ help care for the babies, giving the mother time to rest and recover. Our postpartum providers embody that same spirit of shared care and teamwork.
At Elephant Baby, weâre more than a postpartum care agencyâwe spearhead a movement to restore the heart of motherhood. Every moment of service is an offering of love to Yah, a reflection of His compassion, and a declaration that His ways are still good, still holy, and still the path to life.
