As New Year’s is rapidly approaching, so is the “quick fix,” purge my body of all the “bad” food I’ve been eating throughout the holidays, “go hard” January 1st mentality.
Setting New Year’s resolutions or intentions to prioritize your health, exercise more often, and eat “better” is great and all, but it can be unsustainable when we go all out or too hard too quickly. This is a one-way ticket to burning out before February.
And don’t get us wrong, the 30-day lose as much weight as quickly as possible challenge sounds all hunky dory, right? You only have to go hard for 30 days and then you’ll achieve all your weight loss goals, right?
Not exactly.
Because what happens after your 30-day weight loss challenge is over?
Sure it might sound more appealing to sign up for a 30-day challenge and follow strict guidelines for a short period of time, but this is only going to produce short-term results if you’re unable to sustain the protocol long-term.
Although it may seem more daunting, taking the time to learn about nutrition, exercise, and how to build a better relationship with food and your body will set you up for success wayyyy past 30-days.
So let 2024 be the year you start building sustainable nutrition habits that will last you a lifetime and the year you set yourself up for success long-term, not just for 30 days.
