Christmas cheer is in full swing 🎄

We got creative with our Christmas tree crafts, decorated gingerbread houses (with a little “taste testing” along the way 🍪🏠), and enjoyed a very special visit from Santa 🎅

A huge thank you to Ms. Mauger’s preschool class at Chester Presbyterian Preschool for making us the sweetest decorations to display at the Adult Day Center! 🎄✨

Our participants absolutely loved them—so many smiles, joyful reactions, and holiday cheer as soon as they saw them. 🎅🏼🎁❄️ Your kindness and creativity truly brightened our season.

Today our leadership team enjoyed a wonderful holiday lunch at The Reserve, and it was truly the perfect way to celebrate the season together. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was festive, and the hospitality was exceptional from start to finish.

Today we’re celebrating the creativity, connection, and joy that fills our halls through Lucy Corr’s Opening Minds Through Art (OMA) program.

In 2025, our residents created beautiful artwork alongside dedicated volunteers—including high school students from across Chesterfield County. These sessions don’t just make art… they build friendships, confidence, and community. ❤️🎨

As we look ahead to expanding OMA in 2026, we’re asking for your support to help us offer more one-on-one sessions and include even more resident artists.

🦃✨ Talk About a Feathered Celebrity Visit! ✨🦃
Today at Lucy Corr, we had a very special guest strolling through our halls — a turkey who clearly wasn’t chicken about making new friends!

Our residents gobbled up the fun as our festive friend strutted around, showing off her best Thanksgiving runway walk. She really knew how to shake her tail feathers!

We’re thankful for moments like these that bring joy, laughter, and a little extra “talking turkey” to our community.

🚒 Thank You, Chesterfield County Fire and EMS Station 15! 🚑

This morning, our residents from the Health Care Center and Assisted Living, along with participants from our Adult Day Center, enjoyed a wonderful breakfast with our local heroes from Chesterfield Fire & EMS Station 15! ❤️

Everyone had a great time asking questions, sharing stories, and enjoying delicious Chick-fil-A together. We’re so grateful for their service, compassion, and the time they take to connect with our community.

Care, compassion and kindness: three words that are synonymous with Miss Lucy Corr and the health care community that bears her name. Lucy Corr opened in 1970 as the Chesterfield County Nursing Home. This invaluable asset to the citizens of the Chesterfield area would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of its founder, who was affectionately called “Miss Lucy.”
