Ever notice that the macros don’t perfectly match the calories on the label?

You’re not crazy.

Food labels are allowed up to a 20% margin of error for calories listed.

So those neat little “100 calorie packs”?
Usually rounded.

If you’re tracking, here’s the move:

Focus on your macros. The calories will land where they’re supposed to because... MATH.

Protein - 4 calories

Carbs - 4 calories

Fats - 9 calories

This means you can avoid the calorie rounding altogether.

You’ve told yourself a story about rest. And it’s keeping you stuck.

Somewhere along the way, you decided that “real rest” means abandoning your foundations. So you swing.

ALL the things → NONE of the things.
Dialed in → totally detached.
On track → starting over.

Here’s the reframe:

Rest isn’t the absence of habits.
It’s the adjustment of effort.
Rest and foundational habits can coexist.

There’s a spectrum:

Fewer steps, not zero
Easier movement, not no movement
Flexible meals, not chaotic meals

Who knows… maybe those foundations actually help you feel BETTER while you rest. 😉
