Rest doesn’t have to mean self-sabotage.

Relaxing doesn’t have to mean abandoning every habit you’ve built.

You don’t have to fully “let go” to actually relax.
And you definitely don’t need the cycle of
locked in ➝ chaos ➝ starting over Monday.

Most of the time, keeping a few foundations in place helps you recover better:

▪️walking or some form of movement
▪️fueling like a grown adult.. at least a little
▪️sleeping-ish on purpose

Supporting your body and your nervous system so you can actually enjoy your time away.

Healthy foundations ≠ punishment.
They’re the reason Monday doesn’t feel like a reset button every single time.

“Comparison is the thief of joy” gets shared a lot.

It’s not wrong. It’s just… incomplete.

Comparison does steal joy when it’s filtered through a fixed mindset. But comparison isn’t automatically toxic.

Sometimes it’s information, inspiration, and evidence that it can be done.

It can sound like:
▪️ "That’s working for them.”
▪️ “What habits got them there?”
▪️ “Is there a versionof that I could adapt to my life?”

The issue isn’t comparison, it’s what we do after we notice it.

Same input. Different outcome.

You don’t need their body, life, or plan. But you can learn from what’s working for others without losing yourself in the process.

We joke that tacos and margaritas “don’t count.”

And sure, that can be harmless fun and silly trends.

But underneath that joke is a quieter message we’ve all absorbed:

Enjoying food requires permission.

Usually that permission shows up as denial or humor that says “don’t worry, this isn’t real food.”

But hear me when I say, they do have calories.
And that's totally okayyyy.

They’re still allowed.
Nothing needs to be cancelled, earned, or justified.

This is about trusting yourself around food without pretending it doesn’t exist.

Real life might include tacos. And real life might include margaritas.

Long haul mentality.
