In the last six months of my life, I've begun diving even deeper into the question of where, and why does disease start in the body? In my experience of mainstream medicine, which is invaluable in so many ways, i have to wonder, where is the alchemy of mind, body and spirit? How does one attempt to heal the physical and not see that we are more than one dimensional beings? In somatic therapy, we teach and practice by this, the tissues hold the issues.
You are an emotional and spiritual being that transmits it's thoughts, feelings and experiences into physical representation. Maybe your headache is mental strain, your tight shoulders are anger or grief, or your gi upset is emotional pain like sadness or guilt. Maybe your dis/ease is the body saying, hear me, help me.

Hi friends, family and clients. Since my brother was diagnosed 3 weeks ago with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, we have a bigger picture of the road ahead. With numerous chemotherapy rounds, long hospital stays and followed by a complete stem cell replacement, Justin will need all the support he can get.
