🎉✨ As part of the 45th Anniversary of The Pool & Spa Show, LaMotte displayed its antique Roulette pH Comparator (circa 1950) in the Historic Gallery, highlighting how far the industry has come, pairing vintage equipment with modern solutions to showcase the evolution of pool and spa technology.

Historical Relevance:
The Roulette pH Comparator is one of LaMotte’s early visual pH testing tools. It represents a past generation of colorimetric water-testing equipment used before the development of LaMotte’s modern comparators and digital instruments. While no longer in production, it reflects the company’s longstanding role in manufacturing water quality testing solutions.

Interesting Facts:
🔹The Roulette pH Comparator used a rotating color disk for visual pH matching.
🔹It was part of the company’s early lineup of mechanical, reagent-based water testing devices.
🔹The rotating color wheel was considered innovative at the time, offering clearer readings than many early comparators.
🔹Early models were fully mechanical, no batteries or electronics, making them extremely durable.

Next to it, the Mobile WaterLink® SpinTouch® demonstrates how LaMotte's digital photometers now deliver fast, multi-parameter, lab-quality results — illustrating nearly a century of innovation in pool and spa water quality testing.
