Camp Fairlee is located near the upper end of Maryland's Chesapeake Bay near historic Chestertown, on the site of a colonial estate that dates back to the 1820's. The manor house at Camp Fairlee is part of the National Historic Register. Situated on 250 rural acres near the bay, participants enjoy summer camp in a natural setting. Activities include pool, canoeing, rock walls, high ropes, a 300 foot zip line through the tree tops, horseback riding, camp fires, outpost camping, sports, arts and crafts, fishing, and much more ( see video to see some of these events). Camp Fairlee wants each participant to enjoy camp to the fullest extent, and for every two participants there is generally one camp counselor, and during Autism weeks for children, that ratio is 1 to 1. Camp Fairlee understands that many participants have medical needs and there are nurses on staff during each session to ensure the health and safety of each participant. In the summer of 2010, a new 1800 sq. health center was opened with two nurses station. In addition, a nearby physician is on call 24/7 during sessions.
