Great news! Governor Hogan has opened up Massage Therapy in Maryland. I am delighted to re-open and have appointments available next week. Please schedule online at www.elbebody.com or text (512) 944-0456. Each appointment will have one-hour blocked off behind it for cleaning.

The gate is open.

Maryland State Board of Massage Therapy Examiners has decided to allow Licensed Massage Therapists to begin massage therapy in a health care setting. I am cautiously reviewing the term “health care setting”.

I would love to open my studio and start the loving practice of massage therapy again. There are a few concerns that we haven’t received enough scientific understanding regarding Covid-19 and how it affects the circulatory system with specific regard to blood clotting. (Massage Therapy is contra-indicated to blood clotting issues.)

I am doing my best to make sure I provide a safe facility and safe practice during this uncertain time. I look forward to seeing you all sooner than later!

Ethically, I cannot offer massage therapy during the Covid-19 pandemic. It is not possible at this time for any practice to test each day if a client or myself are carriers. Massage Therapy is contraindicated for the corona virus, especially if there are blood clot risks. Please know that I care deeply about clients health and well-being. I look forward to the day when we all are able to share the gift of physical healing touch again. All the best to you and your loved ones. LB
