This past weekend, Dr. Slavin had the honor of speaking at the Indie Aesthetic Surgery Summit. The faculty is carefully selected. Only A-list expert surgeons from around the world who are also passionate educators are welcome. A total of only 14 plastic surgeons were invited to speak.
His outstanding aesthetic results in plastic surgery of the face and neck, and especially his face and neck lift results, are widely admired.

Dr. Slavin has always been a passionate educator. As the Associate Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School, he loves to teach residents and is honored to have been asked to be a member of this impressive faculty! His global recognition elevated the INDIE Aesthetic Roundtable Summit 5.0!

For the fourth consecutive year, Dr. Sumner Slavin has been invited by his national professional society-The American Society of Plastic Surgeons-to present his technique of face and neck rejuvenation. Dr. Slavin has developed a neck lift procedure which creates a natural appearing contour to the front of the neck and the cheek and jawline. It is effective, safe and reliable.

He will also be discussing his face and breast plastic surgery results at the upcoming Indie Aspen Symposium, a think-tank meeting of the top plastic surgeons held in Aspen, Colorado this summer. Dr. Slavin is the Co-Director of the Harvard Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship Training Program at Beth Isrrael Deaconess Medical Center.

Check out Dr. Slavin’s book on the latest techniques in Neck Rejuvenation, which he co-edited with his colleague Samuel Lin and is completed and in press for publication February 2024. It has been a multi-year project that brings together the latest information on neck rejuvenation procedures, both nonsurgical and surgical, from contributors around the world! Dr. Slavin's neck techniques have been receiving acclaim. He has been a guest speaker for the national organization of board-certified Plastic Surgeons known as the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and last August was invited to discuss his neck and facelift techniques at the prestigious Indie Conference held in Aspen, Colorado. The meeting organizers liked his surgical results so much they have invited him back for the next symposium to be held in Aspen in August, 2024.

Dr. Slavin is committed to teaching the next generation of plastic surgeons safe, reliable, and effective techniques for facial and neck rejuvenation. At its graduation ceremony in June, Harvard Plastic Surgery honored Dr. Slavin with its Faculty Teaching Award for professionalism and clinical excellence.

Dr. Slavin was invited as a guest speaker for the prestigious Indie- Aspen Colorado Symposium that was held on August 26 and 27. A think tank for the newest ideas in plastic surgery. Dr. Slavin presented his personal face and necklift techniques to a national audience.

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Sumner A. Slavin who received the 2022 Robert M. Goldwyn Lifetime Achievement Award at the meeting of the New England Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons. 
The award recognizes extraordinary contributions to patients, students, and plastic surgeons, it is given to a plastic surgeon deemed by the Executive Council of the New England Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, Inc., to be an individual who has demonstrated outstanding care of plastic surgery patients, has made significant contributions to plastic surgery, and has demonstrated the Humanistic Qualities exemplified by Dr. Goldwyn.

The Robert M. Goldwyn, M.D. Lifetime Achievement Award honors Dr. Goldwyn’s humor, kindness, wit, wisdom, and overall excellence in plastic surgery. Dr. Goldwyn’s career has served as an inspiration to plastic surgeons worldwide. Because of its importance to the specialty of plastic surgery, it is not given annually, and had not been awarded to any plastic surgeon for the past four years. Only four other plastic surgeons have received this award.

Join us in congratulating Dr. Slavin on being invited to present at the Plastic Surgery Spring Meeting this weekend where the best and brightest surgeons in their specialty share their expertise. This year he is being honored by an invitation from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons— the largest organization of board certified plastic surgeons— to speak on the Necklift Panel. He will be discussing his techniques for face and necklift procedures. Dr. Slavin is being asked to teach techniques for the treatment of difficult problems and complications relating to face and necklifts.
