Yesterday was International Women’s Day, a moment to recognize the strength, compassion, resilience, and leadership of women everywhere. 🌷 In our community, we are especially grateful for the remarkable women who shape daily life here. Our Members, staff, volunteers, daughters, mother, sisters, and friends. Your wisdom, care, and spirit make this community stronger every single day. Here’s to honoring the women who came before us, uplifting the women beside us and inspiring the women who will follow that. ❤️ ♀️

Please read about our dear friend and Member, Larry Fox, who recently passed away.

Larry was immediately drawn to the Fellowship Community. On his first day as he stood in the parking lot at Hilltop House, he fell in love with the community and realized that what was missing in his life was a sense of community.

Hello! We’re a little more than 1/2 way through the storm and all is well. We have about 11” so far and it’s still coming down fast. Overall, we believe we’re expecting around 18+ inches.

We prepared well with extra shovelers and our plow team. The generators were double- checked. We’ve been able to keep the main doors and paths cleared, as well as the main roadways. Our dedicated, cooks, nurses and caregivers have all made it in and will be spending the night on campus as needed, bolstering the live-in coworkers.
Tomorrow will be the big dig-out. Luckily, the snow is light and fluffy. We hope everyone is staying warm and cozy today! ❄️

Please read about our dear friend and Member, Charles Donald, who recently passed away.

Charles has maintained some important friendships over long years—one since first grade. He is also a kind of bridge builder as he has been the only black member of several communities at various times in his life. Now he has come to live as the first black member of the Fellowship Community.
