On June 4th, 1999, the body of Larry Peterson, age 52, was discovered fatally wounded at a cabin located approximately fifteen miles west of Wheatland, Wyoming, on Palmer Canyon Road.

In the early evening hours of February 3, 2018, 24-year-old Dustin Scott Bruegger was shot in his chest while at his apartment located in the 200 block of North 2nd St, Douglas, Wyoming. Bruegger was previously at the nearby LaBonte Bar. Two men, associates of Bruegger, were in the home at the time of the shooting. Douglas Police responded, initiating an investigation. On February 5, 2018, the investigation was turned over to the Wyoming DCI.

On June 21, 2001, Jamie Kamai was shot and killed in the 200 block of College Drive in Cheyenne, Wyoming after exiting his vehicle to confront an unknown person that may have been following him. According to separate witnesses, the suspect was driving a small black pickup truck with a white camper shell. Another witness claims the vehicle was red.

On October 3, 1974, at approximately 6:00 pm, the decomposed body of an unidentified caucasian male, later identified as Chester Albert Froton, aka Charles Froton, aka Frenchie, was found on a steep embankment approximately 25 feet north of the roadway, 7 miles east of Douglas, between mp 127 - 128, I-25, Converse County, Wyoming by Wyoming Department of Transportation maintenance employees.

On February 8, 2003, 32 year old Shawny Lee Smith was found deceased in a field off Highway 85 in Weld County, Colorado, just ¼ mile from the Wyoming state line. Law enforcement quickly determined that Shawny was the victim of a homicide. In the late evening of February 6, or early morning of February 7, 2003, Shawny was at the Cowboy South Bar, 312 South Greeley Highway in Cheyenne, which is today the location of the Outlaw Saloon. This is the last known confirmed location of Shawny.
