I’ve been thinking a lot about why I do what I do.
Knott Your Average Massage was never just about massage. It was built from survival, healing, and watching people I love struggle without support. My aunt and my uncles lived in poverty and carried stress, pain, and trauma their entire lives. They worked hard. They sacrificed. But they didn’t always have access to care or someone to advocate for them.
I saw a quote once that said, become the parts you loved most about the people who helped build you. That stayed with me.
So that’s what I’m doing.
I’m building something bigger than a business. I’m building the Knott Your Average Foundation so families, caregivers, and survivors in our community can access trauma-informed care, nervous system healing, and support even if they can’t afford it.
Because healing shouldn’t be a luxury.
Because when a mother heals, a family heals. And when families heal, communities get stronger.
This is how I honor my bloodline. This is how I change the future for my kids and the next generation.
If this speaks to you, stay tuned. There’s a lot coming.
