🤍I’ve learned that touch, when done with intention and presence, is powerful and that therapeutic presence is just as important as technique. Over time, you start “reading” bodies like a language. The body stores emotional experiences — not just physical strain — and sometimes touch brings up unexpected emotions. That mind-body connection and the energy transfer is powerful.
🤍I love that massage keeps me grounded. It’s taught me to pay attention, to listen without words, and to respect how much the body carries. It’s one of the few professions where slowing down is the work. Not to mention the satisfaction I get when I feel a trigger point melt away and the tension resolve.
🤍Most people think massage is just about “working out knots.”
What I wish more people knew is that massage is really about the nervous system. When someone is constantly stressed, their body stays in fight-or-flight mode. Muscles tighten because the brain thinks it needs to protect you.
Massage helps signal safety. And when the nervous system feels safe, the muscles finally let go.
It’s not just physical relief — it’s regulation.
