What a great way to start out 2026! Being voted Number One in Communuty Choice Awards for Massage.

I recently listened to The Gratitude Effect (third time) and it caught my attention when the author recalls interviewing a man who wanted to manage the doctors business.
He asked the candidate what he would be doing if he could be doing anything he wanted. The answer was NOT managing a chiropractic clinic.
Of course he didn’t get the job because how could the doctor expect this candidate to mange his business if he couldn’t even manage his own life?

That stuck with me.

I love my job. I love that I get to continue to learn and evolve and grow into my authentic self.
What I always seem to circle back to are herbs. Plants. These wonderful healing gifts from God. They enamor me and resound with my soul.
That said, I’m happy and excited to begin a year long certification program in herbalism. Along with the continued training in visceral (organs) manipulation and craniosacral.
It’s a whole new BeYu and I’m excited to continue on this journey with my loyal clients.

British scientists found humans can regenerate damaged liver tissue within two weeks. Researchers at King's College London discovered that small molecules triggering the Hippo signaling pathway can stimulate massive liver regeneration, enabling severely damaged livers to completely restore normal structure and function within 14 days. This breakthrough offers alternatives to transplants for liver failure patients.

The liver is the only human organ with significant regenerative capacity—you can surgically remove 70% and it'll regrow to original size within months. However, disease-damaged livers (cirrhosis, hepatitis, fatty liver disease) lose this ability. British scientists discovered why: chronic injury activates pathways that suppress regeneration to prevent cancer. By temporarily blocking these suppressor signals, they unleashed the liver's full regenerative potential.

The treatment uses small molecule drugs that inhibit the Hippo pathway—a cellular signaling system that normally prevents excessive cell division. When Hippo is suppressed, liver cells called hepatocytes rapidly divide and mature, regenerating healthy tissue to replace damaged areas. Within days, cirrhotic scarring breaks down as healthy tissue expands. Liver function tests normalize within two weeks.

In rat models of severe cirrhosis (equivalent to end-stage human liver disease), treated animals showed complete liver regeneration with restored normal architecture and function. No remaining scar tissue, no cancer formation, no complications. Human trials are recruiting patients with cirrhosis and acute liver failure. Success could eliminate most liver transplant needs—letting patients regenerate their own organs instead of waiting years for donors while facing 20% mortality rates on waiting lists.

NEW PROTEIN TURNS DEAD HEART CELLS ALIVE 🫀🔋
Heart attack damage might finally be reversible...

A brand-new day in a brand-new year! 🥳

A look ahead to 2026 and all that this year will bring.

Further training in visceral manipulation, Level 2 comes in February and Level 3 for pelvic floor is scheduled for June. 🫀

Completing Pelvic Floor for pregnancy and postpartum. 🤱

Beginning training in Craniosacral and Neuro. 🧠

This year will see new growth, new services and a fine-tuning that respects the tissues of the body.

2026 is all about focusing on the female body and the unique needs that women have, from pregnancy through menopause.

Thank you to all of those who have been with me as I enter my 9th year in massage therapy. It seems like yesterday but February 1st BeYu llc will turn 9! We've all come a long way from those early practice sessions and reiki sessions.

While you sleep, your brain switches on a powerful cleaning system that works like a biological dishwasher. Scientists call it the glymphatic system, a network that flushes out waste products that build up during waking hours. This process becomes most active during deep sleep, when brain cells slightly shrink and create more space for fluid to flow. That fluid washes through brain tissue, carrying away toxins and metabolic waste.

Among the waste removed are proteins linked to neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease.
