Have you heard about "Ozempic Babies"? 👶✨

There’s a lot of buzz lately about people unexpectedly falling pregnant while taking GLP-1 medications like Ozempic or Wegovy. But is it the medication itself, or something else?

Current research suggests that significant weight loss can restore regular ovulation, and in some cases, these medications may even affect how the body absorbs oral birth control.

If you are on a GLP-1 and planning for the future (or if you’ve had a "surprise" of your own!), we are here to help you navigate a healthy pregnancy.

As Endometriosis Awareness Month comes to a close, we want to leave you with one vital reminder: Pain is not a requirement of womanhood. Endometriosis is a complex, whole-body disease that can affect everything from your energy levels to your digestive health. Because it is so often misunderstood, it takes an average of 7 to 10 years for a woman to receive a correct diagnosis. We are here to help shorten that timeline. If your period pain is keeping you from work, school, or the things you love, it’s time to stop "toughing it out" and start a conversation with a specialist. Mayo Clinic experts explain why sometimes surgery or targeted hormone therapy is the key to getting your life back. Let’s make 2026 the year you find answers.

Did you know that Vitamin D functions more like a hormone than a vitamin in your body? For women, this "sunshine nutrient" is a heavy hitter—it's the key to calcium absorption for strong bones, a vital player in immune resilience, and even a factor in mood regulation. Despite its importance, many women are unknowingly living with a deficiency that can lead to fatigue or joint pain. Whether you’re looking to support a healthy pregnancy or want to protect your bone density as you age, getting your levels checked is a simple but powerful act of self-care. Check out this guide from Healthline to learn the signs of deficiency and how to safely optimize your Vitamin D levels this spring.

It’s the age-old debate: Do women actually need more sleep than men? According to the sleep experts at Harvard Health, the answer is a resounding "Yes." Because women’s brains are often wired for high-level multitasking and emotional processing, they tend to use more of their actual brain throughout the day, requiring a bit more "recharge" time at night. Factor in the hormonal shifts of the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, and menopause, and it’s no wonder women report higher rates of insomnia and sleep disruption. If you’ve been feeling guilty for needing that extra 20 minutes (or that Sunday nap), consider this your "doctor-approved" permission slip to prioritize your rest. Sleep isn’t a luxury—it’s a biological necessity for your hormonal health!

Moms-to-be, it’s time to rethink what "taking it easy" looks like! Recent research highlighted by Women’s Health shows that for many women, continuing strength training and even heavy lifting (under professional guidance) during the third trimester is not only safe but can be incredibly beneficial. Staying active helps manage common pregnancy stressors and prepares your body for the "heavy lifting" of labor and motherhood. Of course, every body and every pregnancy is different, which is why we love tailoring activity plans for our patients. If you’ve been curious about how to maintain your fitness routine while expecting, check out these latest findings on "power moves" for pregnancy.

Ever notice that your most debilitating headaches always seem to arrive just a day or two before your period? You aren’t imagining it—you’re likely experiencing "menstrual migraines." These aren’t your typical headaches; they are triggered by the sharp drop in estrogen that occurs right before your cycle begins. As Everyday Health explains, these hormonal shifts can make the brain more sensitive to pain, often leading to longer-lasting and more severe attacks. If you’ve been "powering through" these every month, we want you to know there are targeted strategies—from "mini-prophylaxis" treatments to specific lifestyle adjustments—that can break the cycle. Read more about why these happen and the remedies that actually work.

Did you know that fatigue and irritability are actually reported more often during perimenopause than hot flashes? A recent international study led by Mayo Clinic revealed a major gap between what women expect during this transition and what they actually experience. While we often wait for the "tells" like night sweats, the reality for many women in their 30s and 40s is a steady climb in exhaustion, anxiety, and even digestive issues. At Cheyenne Women's Clinic, we believe you shouldn't have to wait for a "classic" symptom to seek support. Understanding the biological shifts in your hormones is the first step toward feeling like yourself again. Read the full study highlights to see if what you’re feeling is more common than you think.
