I’m Jo, and I am passionate about guiding others on their path to wellness and self-discovery. My journey in the healing arts began in 2009 when I had my own life crisis and desperately needed guidance to navigate some big challenges. Since then, I have dedicated myself to mastering various techniques that promote holistic health and well-being. As a certified HeartMath trainer, Reiki master, hypnotherapist, and Spinal Flow student, I bring a unique blend of skills and experiences to my practice. My approach is rooted in the belief that true healing encompasses the mind, body, and spirit. Over the years, I have helped countless individuals find relief from stress, achieve emotional balance, and connect more deeply with themselves. Fight or Flight: What It Really Means

Fight or flight is your body’s survival mode.
It’s not a mindset problem — it’s a nervous system response.

When your body senses stress (real or perceived), it shifts into protection:

• Tight jaw, neck, or shoulders
• Shallow breathing
• Racing thoughts or constant worry
• Digestive issues or bloating
• Trouble sleeping
• Feeling on edge, irritable, or exhausted
• Craving sugar, caffeine, or quick comfort

Your body is saying:
“I don’t feel safe yet.”

The goal isn’t to think your way out of it.
The goal is to signal safety to the body.

When the nervous system feels safe, the body can:

Yesterday we celebrated my granddaughter’s first birthday.
There was pizza, sandwiches, cupcakes, cocktails… joy everywhere.

I chose water.

Not because food is bad —
but because this fast isn’t about food.

I’m down to my last 7 hours now,
and my body feels grateful. Clear. Almost like it’s singing.

This experience has reminded me that the hardest part isn’t physical hunger —it’s emotional reflex.

Choosing presence over impulse
has been a powerful act of self-trust. Food will always be there. Presence is what we practice.
