🏠 Is your child ready to stay home alone?

Our Home Alone class is designed to help kids ages 9–12 build the confidence and skills they need to stay safe and make smart decisions when home by themselves.

Students will learn how to:
✔️ Handle situations like answering the door or phone
✔️ Prepare simple snacks safely
✔️ Follow family safety rules
✔️ Respond to emergencies and basic first aid situations
✔️ Recognize unsafe scenarios and what to do

📊 Tax Day Reminder
Finances can be a major stressor for families.
If today feels overwhelming:
✔ Take it one step at a time
✔ Ask for help if needed
✔ Give yourself grace
Stress impacts mental health—and that matters.

April is also the Month of Hope 🌱
Hope doesn’t mean everything is perfect.
Hope means:
✔ Showing up anyway
✔ Taking the next step
✔ Believing change is possible
Even on hard days.
If your family is struggling right now, you are not alone.

🌿 Regulation Tip for Families
When emotions run high, connection matters more than correction.
Try:
✔ Sitting with instead of sending away
✔ Lowering your voice
✔ Naming feelings: “That looks really hard.”
Regulation is taught through relationships.

Many survivors never disclose their experiences due to fear, stigma, or lack of support.
That’s why community matters.
Organizations like Safehouse Cheyenne provide immediate safety and advocacy.
And at H.O.P.E in Wyoming, we help families continue the healing process through ongoing support and connection.
✔ Crisis support exists
✔ Long-term support exists
✔ You are not alone
Whether someone is ready to talk or not, support should always be available.

💬 Let’s reduce stigma together:

What does “feeling safe to speak up” look like to you?
