Eleanor Roosevelt's groundbreaking press conferences for women reporters set a powerful precedent, while Caroline Herschel’s contributions to astronomy, including discovering eight comets and helping uncover the planet Uranus, made history.
As Nancy Pelosi so powerfully puts it, “Women are leaders everywhere you look.” From CEOs to homemakers, women continue to shape our world in every sphere. Let’s honor their contributions and keep breaking down walls and defying stereotypes. 💜

This Women’s History Month, we honor trailblazing women like Madam C.J. Walker and Frida Kahlo, whose legacies continue to inspire and empower. Walker revolutionized Black hair care, and Kahlo’s artistry and unapologetic portrayal of the female experience have made her a global icon.
As Dolly Parton reminds us, “If your actions create a legacy that inspires others…you are an excellent leader.” Let’s continue to create legacies that uplift and inspire! 💜

Today, we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., whose vision of justice, dignity, and collective responsibility continues to guide our work.

Dr. King reminded us that “everybody can be great, because everybody can serve.” At The Encompassing Center, we strive to live out that message by showing up for our community with compassion, care, and a commitment to equity, meeting people where they are and working together to create pathways toward healing, stability, and hope.

On this Day of Service, we reflect on how we can each contribute to building stronger, healthier communities through empathy, action, and shared responsibility.
