We’re beyond excited to welcome Ms. Sarah to our team! 🎉 We’re now offering services in the western suburbs, and we couldn’t have found a better fit. Fun fact: our worlds first collided years ago when I had the privilege of mentoring Sarah during her clinical fellowship year—her enthusiasm, knowledge, and interpersonal skills were impressive even then! Since that time, she’s gained extensive experience treating patients across the lifespan, with special interests in motor speech disorders, feeding and swallowing disorders, and neurorehabilitation. Outside the therapy room, you can find her singing, at book club, or trying out a new recipe—be sure to say hello and help us give her a warm welcome!

Food exploration happens using all our senses, not just taste. This exploration is great for all kids, but especially for picky eaters! This client used different foods to get through a Halloween maze and create monster faces.

Let’s make a pizza! Ms. Julia and her client made a “pizza” together, targeting fine motor skills including cutting, glueing and pasting. This simulated food exploration activity is also great for sequencing and problem solving skills.
