💉✨ When “saving money” ends up costing more… ✨💉

This beautiful client came to me for an assessment and dissolving of lip filler that was incorrectly placed, by a “Provider” from Guadalajara, Jal. creating many large bolus of product and uneven result. When she reached out thy stated it was very normal and would go away. WRONG!!!

We safely treated her today, and she’ll return in 2–3 weeks for reassessment and possible additional dissolving as we work toward restoring a natural, balanced foundation. 🤍

There are “Doctors” and “Nurses” traveling from out of the country offering injections for a few days at a time.

While this may sound convenient or even appealing financially, there are serious things to consider:

❗ Are they licensed to practice medicine in the U.S. or Illinois? NO
❗ Are they held to U.S. medical standards and regulations? NO
❗ What happens if a complication arises days later???
❗ Do they carry valid malpractice insurance here? NO

💉 The Importance of Aspiration During Filler Injections

Patient safety is always the top priority in aesthetic medicine.

Aspiration is a safety technique where the injector gently pulls back on the syringe before injecting filler to check if blood enters the syringe. If blood appears, it means the needle may be inside a blood vessel.

Injecting filler into a vessel can lead to vascular occlusion, which is why safety checks and strong anatomical knowledge are essential.

✨ Today I experienced a positive aspiration, meaning blood appeared in the syringe. This is exactly why this step is important it helps prevent injecting product into a vessel.

If a positive aspiration occurs:

• Stop immediately — NO NOT INJECT
• Withdraw the needle
• Apply gentle pressure
• Discard contaminated needle/syringe
• Change to a fresh needle
• Reassess anatomy and injection site
• Re-aspirate before continuing

A positive aspiration isn’t a complication it’s a safety catch that protects the patient.

Safety, anatomy knowledge, and proper technique always come first. 💉✨
