We continued to feel the Valentine’s love with Alderman Jim Gardiner’s Valentine Brunch this morning. It was a joy bringing together our residents, neighbors from the 45th Ward area. We’re grateful to Marino Chrysler Jeep Dodge, Oak Street Health Harwood Heights team, Eggsperience Irving Park, Sweet Connections Bakery and City News Cafe. Thank you to Alderman Gardiner and his team for a lovely morning.

The mix of familiar faces and new friends made the morning feel extra special. Great food and great conversations. It was everything a neighborhood gathering should be.

Grateful for our community partners and for everyone who came out to share the fun with us!

Valentine’s is in full swing here at Clarendale! 💕 From a festive happy hour with music 🎶 to a special card-making project where residents crafted intricate, detailed Valentine cards ✂️💌, heart-shaped cake decorating 🍰, chocolate strawberry shakes 🍓🍫, and love songs performed by our resident choir 🎤—we’re making every moment sweet!

And this is just the beginning… more love to come!

What an incredible morning at And She Bakes Too! Nearly 50 neighborhood partners and senior healthcare professionals came together for connection, collaboration, and truly sharing the love. The energy in the room was amazing!

Huge shoutout to Paris, the fabulous owner of this cozy Six Corners gem, for her exceptional hospitality and the delicious treats that made our networking event even sweeter. We appreciate you!

We had such a special experience taking our resident group on a private tour of Katherine Anne Confections—led by the owner herself, Katherine! 🍫

She gave us a behind-the-scenes look at how their handmade truffles, caramels, marshmallows, and signature European-style drinking chocolate are crafted, while sharing insight into the care, creativity, and high-quality ingredients that go into every batch!

We loved learning about the baking and confection process, enjoying plenty of free samples, and getting that “behind the curtain” experience you don’t get every day. Of course, we couldn’t leave without picking up some delicious treats to take home! ☕️

Enjoying the view of our building from our wonderful neighbors at the Northwestern Old Irving Park Advanced Care Center. Yes, we are that close! We can wave to the cardiology floor just 0.4 miles away. Our community is grateful to have such wonderful medical care right in our neighborhood.

We successfully brought the après-ski experience to life in Chicago, right on cue with our temperatures! ❄️ Residents' creativity shone through personalized ski hats during a pre-event program, filling the dance floor with an infectious energy. The band's lively performance was perfectly complemented by signature blood orange spritzers, maintaining an atmosphere of exuberance and adding to the celebratory feel. The event featured a wide range of stylish outfits, ample laughter, music, lasting memories, and après-ski charm! ⛷️🎿
