Julia is a compassionate and trauma-informed therapist with a passion for exploring desire and s*xual expression through a nontraditional, art-therapeutic lens. She has extensive experience working with individuals to navigate a wide range of concerns, including trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, s*xual dysfunction, kinks and fetishes, and significant life transitions. Julia is particularly skilled in supporting those with childhood and s*xual trauma and is dedicated to creating a welcoming and affirming space for clients of all backgrounds and identities, including those from LGBTQIA+ and s*x worker communities.
In her work, Julia embraces a s*x-positive, kink-friendly, and polyamory-affirming approach. She is deeply invested in helping clients explore their desires and shame, providing unconditional support, and offering probing questions that encourage clients to think outside the box. Julia is driven by curiosity and exploration to support clients who wish to deepen their understanding of their s*xual pleasure and develop skills to enhance their intimacy and relationship.
Julia’s clinical experience spans both adults and adolescents from diverse backgrounds. She joins Soleil with extensive experience in college counseling and working with survivors of s*xual trauma in specialized clinics. She utilizes a variety of evidence-based modalities, including Psychoanalysis, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). She integrates psychodynamic approaches, particularly the exploration of possibility and limits of desire through psychoanalysis, to help clients uncover and understand their unconscious patterns and desires, and their impact on daily life.
