✴️we made it to week 2 of Stress Awareness Month! I think the tip week is so important and something we can also get creative with and have fun. staying social during social distancing!! as humans we are hard wired to crave connection and are very social creatures. some of us are a little more extraverted than others, but on a basic level we all need a little help from our friends. i’m so happy to share some of my favorite ways to stay social and active during these days spent apart. it may seem simple but a quick chat with a friend, quick game of Yahtzee with a loved one, or just watching Friends on the couch while your buddy does the same on skype is a HUGE stress reliever. seeing a friend or family member, especially being able to hear their voice has been shown to lower stress hormones like cortisol and raise levels of oxytocin, aka the “love hormone. so when you find yourself stressed out and just can’t seem to shake it, try one of these stress-relieving social interaction ideas or if you have another great idea, feel free to share. thanks so much for following along and be sure come back next week for another tip for relieving stress during your quarantine. have a lovely week, enjoy yourself, be kind, and stay safe. xo✨

✨Week One of Stress Awareness Month’s tip for stress reduction! Meditation and Deep Breathing! So many times when people hear about meditation/breathwork they believe they don’t have the resources or ability to participate in either, or that they are TOO stressed to sit still and be calm. but the truth is, that is precisely what your body is craving when it’s nervous system is in overdrive. and luckily we are in a time where help is as accessible as it is useful! there are so many apps for guided meditation, one I use regularly and has elevated my guided meditation practice is . there is also a wonderful YouTube channel with many videos to walk you through deep breathing exercises, .co.uk which I have found very helpful. but a great place to start is sitting with yourself and allowing your practice to become what it needs to be. these slides are a gentle guide to help you find your meditation and breath work practice. so next time you feel stress creeping into your life, get comfy, find your breath which is always within you, and meditate and breath the stress away. ✨
As always, feel free to reach out with any questions or just to chat! have a wonderful week, enjoy your time, be kind, and stay safe. xo ✨

🌼It is the Spring Equinox! 🌼This is a time of creation, shift, and rebirth. As our beautiful Earth creates new life, the energy around us can open up, refresh, and reignite the newness and freshness inside each of us, as well. However, in this uncertain time, full of quarantine and self-isolation, how can we harness and embrace the power of beautiful Spring?
☀︎Taking walks alone or with whomever you are isolating with is a great way to get in touch with nature and ground yourself in the physical earth around you.
❀Spring Cleaning and decluttering is a perfect way to spend your time and harness the freshening energy of Spring.
☼Move your body! Spring is all about movement, growth, and activity. Whether it is a yoga practice, quick dance around your apartment/house, or even doing a few jumping jacks on top of your bed, the movement of spring lives inside of you!
❀Check in with your intentions. Did you make any resolutions back in January? Have you achieved them? No one expected this little break in time and you can choose to make it an opportunity instead of a setback. Take time to focus on yourself, your goals, and then manifest this growth into your life.
☼❀☼
Lastly, of course self care is one of the most important things you can do for yourself during this stress filled and uncertain time. As a member of our society, a lover of Spring, and a friend to you, I would love to offer Distance Reiki Healing to you. DRH is a technique I am trained in which allows me to send healing energy through space without needing to be in physical contact with a recipient. We are all in this together and anything I can do to get you through each day with the light and encouraging energy of this season is an honor so I would like to offer this service to you for 𝙰𝙱𝚂𝙾𝙻𝚄𝚃𝙴𝙻𝚈 𝙽𝙾 𝙲𝙷𝙰𝚁𝙶𝙴!!!♥︎❀♥︎

I also can offer tips on at-home Myofasical Release techniques, Chakra balancing meditations and tips, and some other general self-care insights that I like to bring into my life.
It takes a village, and any healing I can give, I will do so with an open heart and nothing but love and light.

the choice to be happy and healthy is one that we all deserve. the ability to know our bodies, and control our health is so basic and fundamental. however, for most of us, our knowledge of how our bodies work, how they recover from trauma, and how to be an active participant in our healing is so very limited. making a choice to become conscious, to open your mind and allow new ideas and possibilities in is crucial to gaining awareness about your own body and it’s health and dis ease. when you become aware, only then are you truly making any choice in your health. we’ve been taught for a long time to think of our healing as a linear, a to b to c line that ignores the fact that our body is a holistic, multi dynamic system that can’t follow a one size fits all model. MFR is tailored to your specific body, your specific trauma, and your specific healing. I hope this new month of March opens you up to awareness, and thereby a choice to honor your body and your healing. please feel free to reach out with any questions and we can grow in your awareness together! have a great day, lovelies. ✨💛💛✨

Pain is not just the ache in the your neck, the knot in you back, or the headaches you get more and more often. Those are symptoms of issues that your body has stored within itself, none more so than in your fascia. Myofascial Release Therapy aims to release these stored restrictions in order to alleviate pain. It isn’t until you allow your body to feel through what it has stored that it will be able to let go, release, and create space, which results in cessation of pain. With myofascial release, we aren’t masking your symptoms for a little while till you are back on my table. We are healing your traumas and restrictions in order to allow your body to move and exist in ways that will not cause pain. Your body heals, you and I are just along for the ride ✨✨✨

It’s the last week of October! 👻 This week is such a fun and exciting time of year so I decided to have a little fun and go with a very on theme stone called a Hag Stone. This isn’t a crystal but it is a stone that is full of mysticism and tradition, much like this time of year. A Hag Stone can be an awesome amplifier for your Halloween spiritedness and, even if you aren’t scared of curses or spells, it can be nice to have around for a dose of refreshing and revitalizing energy, as well as helping get a great nights sleep. Enjoy learning a bit about Hag Stones, and if you are lucky enough to own one for happen upon one, I hope it brings some fun energy into your last week of October. I hope you learned a little something about some useful crystals this October and if you did, I hope they were able to help you enjoy the lovely energy that this month is so full of. I love sharing this info with you guys and if you ever have any questions, just want to discuss Reiki, Myofascial Release, or anything else, give me a shout. Have the best Halloween ever and I hope to see you soon!!! 🖤🧡🎃✨🖤🧡

This week’s crystal is Citrine and what an apropos day for it! Fall is so many people’s favorite season but on days like today (cold, rainy, cloudy, windy) it can create a lot of sluggishness and apathy. Pair that with “that time of year when everyone is sick” and you’ve got yourself a pretty BLAH day. This is a perfect time to grab a citrine and let it warm you up and give you a jolt of energy. This beautiful golden yellow stone is pure energy and light in crystal form. Keep it close to invigorate and create excitement in life and to act as a pick me up on days where you just can’t seem to find your stride. I love bringing citrine into my reiki sessions, especially when someone’s solar plexus just wont release and find its fire. I invite you to grab yourself a citrine and experience this ever so useful crystal! And while you’re at it, give me a shout and let’s use these lovely October days to get you feeling like your best self! Have a lovely week!! ✨💛✨💛✨💛
