“Walk a mile in my shoes…” It’s more than an idiom. For many counselors of color, it’s an unspoken reality. We carry the stories of our experiences, our communities, and our clients — and often, we do so in shoes worn thin by expectation, advocacy, and resilience 💪

In this workshop, clinicians will be encouraged to:
• Pause and reflect on the intersections of their identity and clinical work.

• Externalize emotions through guided poetry prompts and narrative exercises.

• Reclaim voice and agency by naming your own story with compassion.

• Build community with other counselors of color through shared reflection.

Join us on Friday, December 5th for Film-Reel Therapy, an intentional space to watch and discuss movies that explore mental health topics and emotions together.

The film-reel starts with an exploration of personal relationships with film, followed by a movie connected to mental health-related themes. The movie is then discussed with the group with a mental-health-informed lens 🎞️
