Sometimes what we call “laziness” is actually burnout.

If you’re feeling unmotivated, mentally exhausted, or overwhelmed, it may be your nervous system asking for relief, not a lack of effort or care.

You don’t need to earn rest. You deserve it. 🤍

So many people come to therapy wondering if they’re doing it “right.”

If they’re talking too much.
Not enough.
Going too slow.
Bringing the same thing up again.

At Calm Mind Counseling Center, we normalize the parts of being human that often get minimized elsewhere — uncertainty, mixed emotions, pacing, rest, and making sense of your reactions in context.

Therapy isn’t about performing insight or having clarity right away.
It’s about having a space where you don’t have to rush, explain yourself away, or carry things alone.

We are excited to welcome Noah Regnery to Calm Mind Counseling Center!

Noah provides mental health support for individuals, youth, adolescents, and families, with a strengths-based and holistic approach rooted in resilience and growth. He works collaboratively with clients to help them navigate life’s challenges, manage stress, and move toward improved mental well-being.

With extensive experience working with youth and adolescents, he also partners closely with parents and caregivers when appropriate, recognizing the importance of supporting the entire system surrounding an individual. Coming from a social work background, he considers the individual, their environment, and their community in every aspect of care.

This month, we honor Black history, resilience, and the ongoing contributions of Black individuals and communities—past and present.

At Calm Mind, we recognize that mental health does not exist in a vacuum. Historical and present-day inequities, racial stress, and generational trauma have real impacts on emotional well-being. We also honor the strength, joy, creativity, and healing that have always existed alongside that reality.
