Thank you to our MWD alumni who volunteered at Cradles to Crayons last week! ✨

During the event, our alumni worked together to sort and organize clothing and essential items that will be distributed to children and families across Chicago.

It was truly amazing to reconnect with alumni, catch up, and spend time together while giving back. Thank you to everyone who made the time to show up and support this effort 💙🤍

✨ That’s a wrap on YES! (Youth Enhancing Skills) ✨

We’re excited to celebrate the conclusion of our YES Program with an incredible Healthcare Career Fair at Lurie Children’s Hospital!

More than 20 Lurie departments came together to engage, inspire, and educate middle school students from Jungman STEM Magnet School, helping them explore the many pathways within healthcare.

Through hands-on conversations and career exposure, students gained a deeper understanding of how diverse roles across a hospital work together to support patient care and community health.

A huge thank you to our Lurie partners for investing their time, passion, and expertise into shaping the future of healthcare, one student at a time 💙

The Discovering Healthcare Careers (DHC) Application is officially LIVE! Chicago High School Juniors & Seniors, your healthcare career starts right now.

Program Overview:
🩺 6-week summer internship at Lurie Children’s
👩‍⚕️ Shadow medical professionals
💬 Workforce + mental health workshops + CPR certification
🎓 Networking opportunities
🚇 Food, transportation, and program materials included

Eligibility:
✔ Must be 17 by June 22, 2026
✔ Enrolled in CPS, CPS Charter, or Noble Charter
✔ 2.75+ unweighted GPA
✔ U.S. citizen or DACA recipient (SSN required)
✔ Able to commit to all 6 weeks
✔ Interest in healthcare
