Ok honestly, did we ever think I’d be in bridal white?! Kiddingggg🥲 but wearing it for the first time in a room full of people I love more than anything, with my handsome fiancé, celebrating our engagement was one of the most beautiful, special evenings of my life so far ♥️ heart is so full of gratitude. Hope you can feel the love through the screen bc I want a little dose of that magic going out to every single one of you 😘

I shared a story recently about how I showed up to a fitness event in 2019 not knowing anyone and ended up meeting someone who is not only still my friend 5 years later but who I ended up getting my first sales job through 🥲 Pretty special outcome just from doing something out of my comfort zone and making an effort to try something new ✨⁣

Because of this and so many other amazing things building a community has brought me, I’ll always emphasize the importance of it 👯‍♀️ I’m so pumped to share about an upcoming Chicago event called Faces of Fitness! It brings together tons of local Chicago instructors and studios for a huge fitness + wellness festival - such a great opp to meet new peeps or hang with friends. You can take as many classes as you want (k how fun) and a portion of all ticket sales will benefit a charity called Urban Initiatives. ⁣⁣

New ‘hood new views new vibes 🥲

Hear me out on this one - something we often forget about as it relates to our overall health is the environment(s) we’re in day to day. There’s a lot to be said about the spaces we live in or spend time in often - from the energy in the space, to how it makes you feel mentally, to the routines you get accustomed to. Personally, I went through a lot of hard times and big changes in the space I was living in for the past two years - and while I loved it and considered it a comfort zone, I knew I needed a change! The easy route for me would’ve been staying - if you’re an OG you know I don’t love change. But if I’ve learned anything through all of the crazy times it’s that sometimes the easy route isn’t the best route for us. 💭💭💭⁣

If you’re feeling stagnant or like you need some fresh energy, I encourage you to evaluate the spaces you spend the most time in. Doesn’t have to be a *big move* to make it count, but can you rearrange or swap out furniture? Bring fresh flowers in or change out lighting to brighten it up? Maybe it’s just going out of your way to try a new grocery store or fitness studio - just to switch up places you spend time in weekly or daily! ⁣

I’m already feeling more inspired and free of some things that were feeling a little trapped in my old space…and it feels damnnnn good 🙂 Cheers to change 🫶🏼 xo

One thing as it relates to our confidence with what we wear - there will always be trends or clothing that’s “in style” that don’t work with your body type or that don’t make you feel confident when putting them on. ⁣
⁣
In the past when I wasn’t as secure in my body, there were many times I tried to make things work just because everyone else was rocking them or because they flattered other ppl’s body types. It did my mind and my body no justice! ⁣

The best thing you can do for yourself is find what feels good on Y O U. It may not be perfectly aligned with the latest ~trends~ but believe me when I say you’re going to look a million times better when you feel good 🙂 Xo ⁣

Haven’t done a Monday morning mantra in so long (!) so here’s one for today: what if we focus on the things we can change instead of wasting our energy on things that are out of our control? It’s so simple yet so easy to forget. This is inspo from my current read: The Obstacle is the Way - such a good one.⁣

Instead of focusing on how you indulged this weekend, put your energy toward having a positive attitude about the decisions you can make today to start fresh.

Instead of focusing on how you didn’t get something checked off your to do list yesterday, put your energy into your determination to get it done today.

Even after a tough week, still waking up counting my blessings 🤍 a little note for us all: when you’re going through it or in a funk, don’t overcomplicate what you do to regulate. Simplicity is underrated! Majority of the time, bringing it back to the basics is the best thing we can do 🙏🏼 some things that help me: ⁣

-talking to/being with my support system ⁣
-praying ⁣
