It's time again for our annual Toy Drive! Toys will be distributed at our Breakfast with Mr. and Mrs. Deaf Santa event in partnership with Chicago Park District - Deaf and Hard of Hearing Programs on Sunday, December 7th. We have three ways for you to contribute:

1) Buy from our Amazon Wishlist! www.bit.ly/CHS-Toys

2) Drop off new, unwrapped toys to the CHS office at 2017 N Mendell, Suite 3NE, Chicago by Wednesday, December 3rd.

3) Donate to CHS and write "Toy Drive" in the gift notes. www.bit.ly/CHS-Give

We are in need of more toys/games for 0-2 years old or 7-12 years old.

What a season so far! Not only have the Bears won (nail-biting wins) but our Deaf performers have been wonderful! Thank you to the Bears for your partnership and congratulations to all of our performers!

Our last Youth POP UP ASL class of 2025 will be December 9th! This class will include learning about the holidays and winter. Registration is OPEN- so sign up!

EVENT RECAP: DeafNation Expo at Wintrust Sports Complex
CHS was out and about at the DeafNation Expo on November 1st! We loved getting to share more about the work we do and programs we offer with attendees.

I was so honored to present the “Mission Moment” at last nights Anixter board meeting. Emily Tate joined me to share the story of her son, Baxter. She spoke about how they learned of his hearing loss, how they found out about CHS, the impact of our Deaf Mentor services and IEP advocacy, and how well Baxter’s language development is coming along. CHS has the only Deaf Mentor program in Illinois and we currently have a waiting list. Help us continue to provide Deaf Mentors to families with Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing children.
