Happy Saturday Everyone!!

I’m hosting a Tummy Time Together Class in partnership with Monica and Andy! Learn tips and strategies on how to play with your baby and get them stronger in their motor skills. I will also be covering other positions including early sitting, rolling, and standing.

Register early as the class will be limited to 20 participants!

If you are interested but can’t make those dates, DM me and I can make a class for a time that works for you and your little one!

Are you an expecting or new parent with a newborn? Let’s start from the very beginning! Check out these tips on what to expect during Newborn Tummy Time!

Remember that you can start Tummy Time from Day 1 in the hospital! There are a couple ways to start tummy time: on your chest and on a flat firm surface and for at least 1 time every waking cycle!

Tummy Time should ALWAYS be supervised!

During the first week your baby is home work on meeting these milestones!

Week 1 Check List:
1. Turn their head to clear their nose from the surface
2. Tuck their knees up under them
3. Keep their arms close to their body

Follow to stay updated on what to expect! My next post will focus on tummy time milestones for the first 2 months!

Things are different this year - most of all our connections to each other.

Thank you for your incredible support for my small business during this year, I couldn’t have made it without you.

Wishing you and your family a happy and healthy thanksgiving and especially an extra slice of pie!

Hey all, I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself as the woman behind the Steady Steps PT logo😊

My name is Risha, and I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy and currently practice at a top children’s hospital in Chicago. I also have an additional board certification as a specialist in Pediatrics and my MBA.

During my sessions, parents constantly ask me if there is a community resource they can access to answer questions about their child’s motor skills and the opportunity to attend classes that enhances their little one’s experience with the motor milestones. So, I started Steady Steps PT as a tool to bridge this gap. I hope you find this a valuable resource and thank you for the incredible support that you have given me!

Always remember, child development is a marathon, not a sprint.

It takes Steady Steps to Success.

Enjoy the journey.

XOXO,
Risha
