We were proud to host a reception for more than 50 colleagues from across the country who attended the first-ever single-topic symposium on celiac disease.

November is Gluten-Free Diet Awareness Month, a time to raise understanding of what “gluten-free” really means for those living with celiac disease.

For people with celiac disease, gluten-free isn’t a choice or a trend. It’s a lifelong medical treatment. Even tiny amounts of gluten can damage the small intestine and lead to serious complications.

At the University of Chicago Celiac Disease Center, we’re committed to advancing research, education, and support to make gluten-free living safer and better understood.

Help us spread awareness this month. Share what you learn and support those who must live strictly gluten free.
