This Saturday Nov 15, 2025 I’ll be heading back to to give a workshop on injury prevention. Location: 608 S Wright St, Urbana, IL 61801 2p. That’s all the info given to me so please message their IG if you’re curious to attend.

Big news from the Lee Physical Therapy family! 💕

Good times hanging with the again. These kids beat their bodies up hard from a broken calcaneus to swollen fingers. Climbing is dangerous. Hopefully these talks can help everyone climb a little safer and smarter so as to reduce the risk of injuries! 🙌

Fierce competition, well earned prizes. Thank you for providing first place prize. Thank you for donating your spicy avocado oil chilee crisp! So delicious. Great work to those who had no shame to be placed on the board. You’re a winner in my eyes. Proud of the climbers who won LeePT brushes! My wife recently went climbing and was frustrated people were only projecting routes she could flash. And then realized these young climbers don’t have a brush from LeePT. They still have much to learn ☺️
Thank you to Lance, owner of BKB to allow me an office space to serve the community. Busy guy had the time to hang out with me. Thank you Patrick Jenkins for reaching out initially to help the kids team initially and it expanded to talks on office space at BKB!

Great time at in Boston this week. Big thanks to Dr. Ying Fang assistant professor in the department of physical therapy at my school Rosalind Franklin she put a lot of work in crunching the numbers and making this poster. She was able to use the finger force data I collected over 5 years and we collaborated on this research to present types of finger injuries found in recreational climbers!

Gave a workshop to the team kids at and highlighting the 3 Finger Drag (3FD) Efficiency Ratio. You would think testing individual fingers of the index, middle and ring should add up to what you’re actually able to pull with the 3FD but for many climbers out there, due to multiple factors, their actual 3FD pull strength is 60-70% (sometime even as low as 50%!) of what their individual fingers in isolation are able to pull. Ideally you want 85-90%. it just takes practice practice practice. Simultaneously contracting the flexor digitorum profundus of each finger doesn’t come natural.

There was fierce competition with the pinch block hangs and impressive high scores. came back to defend his title and is the first person to reach 1 min on the pinch blocks! Amazing job everyone. Thanks for participating! I had a great time talking with many of you. Thank you and and hope I can come back again next year!

Had a blast this weekend giving a workshop to the They all got to try the pinch hang comp. The record holders still remain! 💪💪Thanks and for providing prizes! First time being apart from Samson but I had a lot of fun being able to participate in the 7th year Boneyard climbing competition! Gotta say RC was my good luck judge while I was climbing. Him watching made the sends a little easier. Would have been fun to stay and watch the finals but had to come back home to this little guy.
