Is Margarine Better than Butter?

No! This is a tragic myth. Butter is a completely natural food essential to your health - especially when you eat organic. Also, please make the extra effort to obtain high-quality organic, raw butter.
Margarines, on the other hand, are a processed food, created chemically from refined polyunsaturated oils. The process used to make these normally liquid oils into spread-able form is called hydrogenation.
Margarine and similar hydrogenated or processed polyunsaturated oils are potentially more detrimental to your health than any saturated fat.7For more information on why you should avoid all processed oils read Why the Processing of Consumable Oils Has Devastated America's Health.

Include Real Butter as part of Your Body Ecology Lifestyle
As many of you already know, I am a strong proponent of including a variety of healthy oils and fats into your diet. Together they work as a team to supply your body with essential fatty acids for longevity, hormone balance, heart health, sharp vision, glowing moist skin and energy. The wonderful variety of oils and fats certainly includes organic, preferably raw butter. Cultured raw butter is even better.
And why would I be so insistent that you eat butter? Take a look at the long list of the benefits you receive when you include it in your diet:8
1. Butter is rich in the most easily absorbable form of Vitamin A necessary for thyroid and adrenal health.
2. Contains lauric acid, important in treating fungal infections and candida.
3. Contains lecithin, essential for cholesterol metabolism.
4. Contains anti-oxidants that protect against free radical damage.
5. Has anti-oxidants that protect against weakening arteries.
6. Is a great source of Vitamins E and K.
7. Is a very rich source of the vital mineral selenium.
8. Saturated fats in butter have strong anti-tumor and anti-cancer properties.
9. Butter contains conjugated linoleic acid, which is a potent anti-cancer agent, muscle builder, and immunity booster
10. Vitamin D found in butter is essential to absorption of calcium.
11. Protects against tooth decay.
12. Is your only source of an anti-stiffness factor, which protects against calcification of the joints.
13. Anti-stiffness factor in butter also prevents hardening of the arteries, cataracts, and calcification of the pineal gland.
14. Is a source of Activator X, which helps your body absorb minerals.
15. Is a source of iodine in highly absorbable form.
16. May promote fertility in women.9
17. Is a source of quick energy, and is not stored in our bodies adipose tissue.
18. Cholesterol found in butterfat is essential to children's brain and nervous system development.
19. Contains Arachidonic Acid (AA) which plays a role in brain function and is a vital component of cell membranes.
20. Protects against gastrointestinal infections in the very young or the elderly.
21.
Raw, Organic Butter is the Best

Believe me this is only a partial list. If a woman is pregnant, hopes to become pregnant or is nursing her baby, I think it should even become a law for her to eat butter for her baby's developing brain, bones and teeth.
The best butter you can eat is raw, organic butter because pasteurization destroys nutrients. Unfortunately, the sale of raw butter is prohibited in most of our 50 states.

You can, however, make your own healthy butter, and it is easier than you think. Look into our Body Ecology Culture Starter, which you simply add to organic cream. After letting this mixture sit at room temperature for 24 hours, chill it, beat it with a whisk, and voila! You'll have healthy, probioticbutter that is delicious!

Scientific Proof, Studies, Clinical Trials
proof the efficacy of Manuka honey
Normally I think testimonials should be taken with a grain of salt. Mostly these are nothing more than advertisements. The reason I have added them here on this lens is because I know they are based on true facts.

The Waikato University in New Zealand has a specialized unit where they do research on the medical benefits of Manuka honey. This Waikato Honey Unit has done extensive research on its health benefits. The focus has been on wound care but there's also evidence for the efficacy of internal ulcer treatment, heartburn relief and some other conditions.

8 personal experiences with the healing honey:
Cures Staph Infection where Antibiotics Fail
Manuka honey as a life saver
"This product saved my Dad's life! He had an incurable staph infection on his leg for 10 years that he caught from swimming in the ocean. The doctors had him on every antibiotic you can think of, but it never healed.

The infection was slowly moving up his leg and he couldn't stop it, and was making him sicker and sicker every day. We thought he was going to die from it. I researched a cure for "incurable staph" on the Internet and found this honey. He coated his leg with it and his sores were all heeled within a week! The infection may still be there but the sore are all gone.

All he has now is some red spots. He no longer has to take pain pills every day, and he has not been back to the stupid doctors since. If you have a skin infection, buy this. It is worth the money!"
Natural leg ulcer remedy
Manuka honey turns out to be the optimal solution
"I thought I must write to tell you how happy I have been since you introduced me to Active Manuka Honey. As you know, I had an ulcer form on the inside of my left ankle. The pain was so extreme that it brought tears to my eyes. I was unable to sleep at night.

Before using the honey, I had been treated by my doctor and his nurse but the treatment given did no good at all. I was treated with algenate (seaweed) dressings but these never took the pain away and the ulcer area never dried at all. I requested to see a specialist at the hospital and he said the pain was caused by bad circulation. I was then sent to another hospital for a scan.

I changed the [material covering] twice a day at first, reducing to once a day and then once a week. Although it has left a scar of about 2" across, the ulcer has completely healed. Thanks once again."

Manuka honey a natural Psoriasis remedy?
For some people with Psoriasis Manuka honey turns out to be effective
Since psoriasis is an inflammatory skin condition and Manuka honey is known for its inflammatory properties it might be a satisfying natural remedy.

"I recently saw a posting on [this] site about great results from using (Manuka) honey on P patches, but for the life of me, I can't find that particular posting.
As you may have read from my previous posts, I have had a recent flare-up and have some stubborn patches that are fading but not totally gone.

This afternoon I happened to spy a jar of Active 5+ Manuka Honey in the kitchen cupboard (that I had only previously used for marinating chicken with) and thought to myself.........why not experiment. I spread some on my left elbow and realizing how sticky it was, I lay down on the bed whilst it soaked in.

I fell asleep and woke up two hours later to find my left elbow stuck to the bed sheet. After I peeled it off, I then found bits of fluff and cat hair also stuck on my elbow. As you can imagine, I was silently cursing the person who posted this tip.

Later on during our evening walk, I showed my elbows to my husband and asked if he noticed any difference between the two and he said that my left elbow looked a lot clearer than my right elbow. Wow...........especially since my husband had no idea that I had applied honey to my elbow.

Anyway I am going to continue with this sticky experiment on my left elbow only and compare the differences at the end of the week."

Manuka Honey Skin Care Cream
This dermatological cream by Comvita is a FDA approved medical cream for the treatment of psoriasis, eczema, and other skin ailments. Medihoney, which is the mother company of Comvita, is the only FDA approved medical Manuka honey brand.
Manuka honey effectively cures MRSA bug
"I am 84 and contracted MRSA in a foot wound 4 months before I got my first jar of Active Manuka Honey. By this time, I was reduced to a wheelchair, in hospital, on intra-venous antibiotics and awaiting toe, if not foot, amputation and all the time my condition was worsening.

As my doctor refused me permission to use the honey externally, I was only allowed to eat it, which I did three times a day. I am convinced the honey saved my foot and my life".

Reliefs Abdominal Pain Attacks
Manuka honey appears to abate my severe abdominal pain attacks that my gastroenterologist, so far, has not been able to diagnose. It feels like it is my gall bladder but two ultrasounds haven't found anything definitive. I only get attacks a couple times a year so this has been tough to figure out. I'm thankful that the Manuka honey (unlike everything else I've tried) keeps the attacks mild in pain. Before Manuka honey, the pain was incredible--like I was being stabbed with a knife.

Healing of a Diabetic Ulcer
People like Rita Arsenault, a retired bank administrator from Methuen, Mass., can vouch for what honey can do. Arsenault, who has diabetes and developed a gaping sore near her toe after a nighttime spider bite, says she could nearly see her tendon when the silver-dollar-size wound had reached its peak. (Diabetes typically worsens ulcers by making it more difficult for the body to replace infected tissue with healthy skin.)

Some doctors Arsenault consulted recommended a skin graft, but there's a good chance that wouldn't have worked, she says, in which case she most likely would have lost her foot. Instead, she went with a doctor who was willing to try treating her with honey-infused bandages. After a little more than a month, her foot ulcer was gone. "I hardly even have a scar," she says. source: USNews.com

Natural acid reflux and heartburn treatment.
Manuka honey provides digestive relief
For years I had this acid reflux and heartburn. After each meal, I kept on burping and burping and even when I was asleep, I had to wake up just to burp, if I don't, then I felt so uncomfortable and this affected my sleep.

I've been taking Aciphex for more than a year, but never worked out. My condition remained the same. I had undergone Endoscopy, and I was diagnosed with H. PYlori, and had some scratches on my intestinal lining. I was prescribed antibiotics and the purple pill for a month, but still, I didn't get healed.

So I did some research, and I came across with this Manuka Honey and other natural healing process. At first I was hesitant, which should I take first, and I decided to try Active Manuka Honey. I tell myself if this didn't work, I'll try another natural healing process. Initially I ordered two bottles, I took one table spoon 20-30 minutes before each meal and after 3-4 days, I was feeling better, less burping or no burping at all after each meal and during my sleep.

After I had consumed the two bottles, I was really feeling fine. Since then I keep ordering Active Manuka Honey, but I don't really take it if I don't need it So I always keep a stock of it in case I need it, I have something ready".

The Healing of the 20 Year Old Wound
An English woman had an infection with antibiotic resistant bacteria under her arm. The abscess oozed in her armpit for 20 years. All kinds of treatments were tied but nothing helped. The pain made her unfit for work.
Until one day in 1999 when she read about the health benefits of Manuka honey. She consulted her doctors and convinced them to apply the honey on her wound. A month later the wound was cured.
The infection the woman suffered from was the Staphylococcus aureus. This 'Golden staph' is a very persistent, hard to destroy infection. Because it is resistant to many antibiotics it can evolve to a life threatening infection. But Manuka honey has been found to be particularly effective in treating this infection.
